"Can't beat this pub for ambience, beer and delights tasting food. We had the gluten free fish and chips which never fail to wow. Their best dish is the steak pie or chicken pie eaten next to the roaring fire on a cold enters day. Staff are very friendly and dogs are as welcome as the humans. Plenty of parking behind the pub, but you might have to pay if the pub carpark is full- check out the old Church across the road after you've had a pint or two"

"First time I've been here for a number of years but everything was excellent. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. "We have been ordering from this restaurant frequently over the past few years and have recommended it to many people. However, our opinion changed after our experience last night. I ordered a custom pizza with four toppings - black olives, sweet peppers, pineapple, and pepperoni from their website. There was a section for special instructions where I specified that the pepperoni should only be on half of the pizza because my wife and daughter are vegetarian. I called the restaurant immediately after placing the order to confirm this with a polite young lady. When the pizza arrived, I discovered that the pepperoni was spread all over the entire pizza. I called the restaurant again and spoke to the same lady, who informed me that having toppings on only half of the pizza is considered an additional charge. I was frustrated as this was not communicated to me earlier. I spoke to the manager who was dismissive and unapologetic, insisting that I contact the website for further assistance. Despite my wife's efforts to explain the situation, the manager refused to provide a proper solution and even threatened to block our number. The customer service was extremely lacking and we were left feeling disappointed and disrespected. We do not recommend ordering from this restaurant unless you want to risk a similar unpleasant experience."

"I researched coffee shops in Canterbury before visiting chose Garage Coffee over all of them. Inside the coffee shop is nice- the tables, chairs, shelving, decor all suited the vibe. It was “busy” at the time of my visit- not queues, but they had a few orders on. I waited a few minutes to be served. I ordered a take away coffee- flat white, £3.20. Fine. While waiting, I read their menu. 10p for a take away cup. Odd? Just include this in the price automatically? Coffee was really nice. The barista was very good I could see he cared about making coffee. I always appreciate this."

"I’ve been meaning to write a review of this place for some time...tucked away behind the shopping centre, I and my family come back here every time we visit Leicester town centre. It’s a cosy and friendly little place where you can get a great cuppa (my mum can vouch) or a good coffee. We’ve had fabulous breakfasts, light lunches and delicious late afternoon meals (the carbonara is a particular favourite) all beautifully cooked with good ingredients. The service is very friendly, the chef is really good and although we have waited a little while for our food on one or two occasions, the wait has never been excessive and it’s because it is cooked to order and arrives piping hot. The decor is eclectic and they support local artists with art for purchase on the walls and other bits and pieces for sale, if you like a browse as you wait. Highly recommended."

"Dim sum lovely had a couple of prawn versions, though extremely hot so let them cool down a bit staff should warn customers. Tom yum soups very disappointing we had the salmon one and the prawn one. In both cases the salmon and prawn had not be seared, seasoned nor marinated, so they were just plonked in the soup plain boiled, very bland. The soup base was OK but definitely not an authentic Thai taste. Massive dining hall we were the only ones in there on a weekend."

"They contract a parking company known as Civil Enforcement LTD. Dine in at your own risk, lest you risk a 100.00 fine. KFC will fob you off with the 3rd party excuse. We can 't do anything . (This old chestnut only takes you so far . Meanwhile, they outsource these lowlifes, (Civil Enforcement LTD to farm KFC patrons for extra cash, like KFC farms broiler chickens. They do not care if you have multiple receipts for money spent at KFC during your stay. (Yes, KFC punishes you for giving them more money! This KFC (C04 9HB use ANPR cameras. Meaning they extract your information from the DVLA, who are obviously in their back pocket. The days of GDPR are GONE! They will find your address (Thanks, DVLA , and threaten to harass if you do not pay their parking invoice. The parking company are a private firm, yet they want to apply council penalty charges with prices that exploit the working poor. (f you are not the council you do not get to act like them! Especially when your supposed penalties far exceed the prices that councils would ever dream of imposing on members of the public! These are prices that people just cannot afford to pay during the current economic climate. The car park was near EMPTY and their cheap signage was blocked by larger vehicles. I would love to know how my presence cost them 100 in an empty parking lot. I feel disgusted with myself for making multiple purchases at this KFC on the same date during my stay. It is tragic how KFC outsources aggressive cowboy companies to extract money from people who are for the most part average, and not well off financially. There is little money to be made on the backs of the less fortunate, and for a company worth $5.4 BILLION it is a true disgrace. Not even the councils are this heavy handed when it comes out to issuing penalties. Usually, it is a stern warning, followed by 50 70.00 KFC If you are reading this, you have alienated a lifelong customer. I am sure you will experience severe backlash from hard working members of the public who just want to get on with life if you continue to operate in such a despicable manner. Lastly, Your care squad did nothing to help, and your 3rd party Civil Enforcement prefers to send threatening letters, rather than responding to calls. (They do not have an email . Do not even hope to win with POPLA, it is rigged in favour of the Parking agencies. "I ordered 1 wrap of the day, 1 apple and black currant drink, and 2 hot wings through the drive-thru at the restaurant. However, I was incorrectly charged for a meal that I did not order, which cost 60p more. When I returned to the restaurant, the staff member initially argued that the meal deal was cheaper. After speaking with the supervisor, I was refunded the extra 60p. The staff member claimed she thought the meal was cheaper, but later admitted she may have misheard me. No apologies were given for the attempt to upsell me on a more expensive meal that I did not request. The crew working between 12-1pm on June 1, 2023, lacked integrity and need a moral compass to guide them in the right direction."

"The Olive Branch has become a favourite and we returned for my birthday lunch and a visit to the Yew Tree Avenue. We ate outside in the sunshine in one of their uniquely decorated gazebos, although the pub is lovely and full of character. Before...I go any further, I write this review because I know that they take on board our comments and strive to get better and better. There was a big lunch party in the barn, so parking was tight and we were worried about noise. We needn’t have worried as the hubbub subsided once their food was served. We ate from their “Lunch for Less” menu. Heritage tomato gazpacho with smoked creme fraiche and wild garlic and I had the pub made black pudding with apple, curried pickled onion, egg yolk and crispy pork. Both delicious although I’d have liked more of the pickle and the crispy pork. Decent size portions none the less. We both had the pan fried sea bass with cockles and prawn pearl barley in a shellfish bisque with sea vegetables, lemon and fennel. We were given a spoon for the “soup” but it was all absorbed by the pearl barley. We were expecting it in a little cup on the side... so why the spoon? Unfortunately, the sea bass was only one fillet cut between us. Not good enough when mains are over £18. Maybe they were running low, because of the big lunch in the barn? Having said that, the skin was deliciously crisp and melt in the mouth and the flavours were superb. We don’t tend to go for meals that are all protein and carbs, so it would have made our day if the sea vegetables and fennel had been much more evident or we’d been asked if we’d like other a salad on the side. As for asking, no one came back to ask if everything was alright... I had asked for the beer list to order another with the main, but we had finished it before anyone came back... may be because of the big lunch in the barn??? Next time we’ll book a different day if there’s a big lunch in the barn! The deserts were every bit as good as you’d expect. Banana pannacotta, dark chocolate mousse, hazelnut ice and Sticky toffee pudding, miso butterscotch and Guinness ice cream. I’d have been happy with just the Guinness ice cream! The birthday celebration was marked with petit fours for both of us, on a platter iced with Happy Birthday. A nice touch, thank you. A small deduction was made by us for the standard of service, which we explained, and were thanked. Hopefully on our next visit, these inconsistencies will be rectified. The Olive Branch can excel... and they do listen."

"First of all, as I went in I went to the toilet, which were disgusting, they need cleaning! Secondly after ordering my food and waiting nearly 10 minutes for some so called ‘fast food’ in that time I saw 2 or 3 employees roll their eyes at customers chuck food into bags/tray and then a feeble attempt to call out peoples order, I could barely hear and I was right in front of the counterI finally get my food and drive home, I eat my food... which is cooked just as much as it needs to be before it’s bad. The chicken is tough, just chucked in a bun.Worst KFC around!"

"We decided that we wanted pizza for our evening meal . Web site was pretty straight forward to use . We live miles away and they don't deliver to us . So off o go to pick it up . First there is people working there or should I say standing around opening the boxes that were waiting for pick up or delivery . different people opened one pizza box with in min . There were people making pizza then everyone but the making pizzas go out to smoke but they argue about it and the making the pizza stand there and start bad mouthing everyone else. As the workers come back in and proceed to touch everything and NO ONE WASHED THEIR HANDS . Not going to go their anymore ."
