"this is a great restaurant and I love that they have good veggie options. my friend and I went there for her 1 pfund Taco-Dursday (that is a very good deal) and also had her frozen margaritas for a happy hour. I would definitely come back here the personal was so friendly and eating was amazing for his price."

"We came here for a family lunch on Sunday 1st September and had a really great experience we were seated on the roof terrace, which was lovely given the great weather, and the food and drinks were all of a really high standard, and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. However, the other stand out here was the service, so a big shout out to Emily Farrow, as she was simply brilliant nothing was too much trouble, she was so friendly, remaining professional and polite, and it is only when you receive such good service that you realise what a difference it makes to the overall experience, so great job!"

"Appalling service, waited over an hour for food only came when complained. Drinks had already taken 20minutes and only 4 of us. They weren’t remotely attentive no waiting staff around, no food coming out and didn’t take our drinks order for a while other people complained. When I first arrived I asked if the vegan nachos was vegan mince or 3 bean. Told the latter, later when ordered told didn’t have it, so I said please double check as the chef had confirmed before they did and it was bean then came back and they did have it. After waiting over an hour I had to go up and ask how long as my 86 year old grandmother was pretty hungry. When it came out my vegan nachos had cow cheese on it. I said to the waitress are you sure this is vegan and she confirmed it was. I tentatively took a bite and immediately knew from the texture and reaction I get from lactose it was had to take it back. They replaced it with a new one but by then my party had eaten. Additional to this food was mediocre and table in front complained chicken was still pink table behind cancelled their order and left as they too had been waiting so long. What’s worse is google said they were quieter than usual and the staff certainly weren’t rushing about so just terrible staff, both serving, kitchen and I managerial. Never again!"

"I was sheepish about going here having seen some bad reviews, but was very happily surprised! The Ultimate Burger I had was delicious and the Raspberry Ripple Tripple sundae was one of the best I've ever had. The service was fine, but it was also quite empty, so I don't know what it would be like on a busy Saturday or Sunday evening. However, I can only judge by the night I was there and it was a five star evening"

"I have been eating at this restaurant for years. It maintains its original way and vibe after the interior renovation, which made it much more vibrant and open to a larger sense of community. The price and amount is always a good deal. Short waiting time, small delivery fee, a variety of choices. I would highly recommend chicken nuggets, it has always been my final dish after a decent cod and chippy dinner. Also fish cakes are incredibly crispy! A must try if you are visiting."

"With the ever increasing numbers of cafes and coffee houses in the Kensington area, it’s wonderful to find one that stands out, head-and-shoulders above them all. Based on Gloucester Road is the fantastic Cafe Deco, a no-frills cafe providing truly exceptional food at astonishingly low prices. There’s nothing pretentious about Cafe Deco, indeed, apart from its amazing food, it’s simplicity is its attraction. The breakfast baguettes (my personal favorites), are incredible and without doubt, the best I’ve had in London! The stamp of Cafe Deco is the quality of its award winning ingredients at amazingly low prices. And coffee for just £1.00, where else can you get that?? Cafe Deco is a true find for quality home cooked food, but I’m not alone in coming to this conclusion as the queue that frequently stretches out of the door and to the pedestrian crossing testifies. For those of you who love delicious home cooked food, Cafe Deco needs to be on your list of places to visit."

"I'll start with the positives. The staff were very attentive and the pub was very clean. However, there were a few negatives. I booked Sunday lunch here based on a recommendation from the OpenTable app as a family-friendly pub. Unfortunately, my family of 4 children were seated next to two tables of rowdy and foul-mouthed young men. The portion sizes were decent but the food was overpriced for the quality. Each dish had something wrong with it, such as reheated mash, undercooked pastry, slimy mushrooms, and dry/burnt brownies. The price of drinks, particularly cola, was also quite high. I was also disappointed to see that the service charge added to the bill was over 10%. While I always tip between 10-25%, I don't appreciate being told how much to tip, especially when I wasn't impressed with the meal. In conclusion, I will not be returning to or recommending this venue."

"If this were a school report, I would give it a B-. Here’s why: The food was good, the drinks—a wine and a beer—were of high quality, and the service was prompt and friendly. However, the garden area was littered with garbage and full ashtrays from the previous night, which was disappointing. Additionally, the online booking system proposed an 11:45 time slot, but the pub doesn’t even open until noon!"

"My best friend drove down from Surrey yesterday with a request that we dine at the Digby. From entering, we were noticed. Staff smiled and said Hi, then the manager Immediately took charge with banter and smiles. We were seated at a lively window seat. From then on it ran like clockwork. Drinks order. Drinks served. Food order taken. Food served. Sauces asked and given. Food was so good. I could not stop eating. Hot, fresh and full of flavour. It was huge, and then the veg came. Wow. With just enough room to share a banana waffle I cannot tell you enough, it was perfect!"

"a few years ago, it was good. this time it was horrific. wives ' starter and main course were shocking. when both meals were replaced without cake, they were just as bad. no comments from the personal. only replaced. admittedly they took off the cost of both courses, but not a SINGEL word of apologoy. I went to the toilet and came back to see the changed bill that was just left on the table. I've taken it, and the guy just said I'm sorry. unfortunately I can't recommend it at all."

"This charming and cozy restaurant offers delicious food in a lovely setting. While the indoor seating provides views of the Thames, it is limited to just a few tables. However, they also have additional tables in the garden that boast stunning views of the bridge. I make it a point to visit this place every time I'm in London. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. It's definitely a must-visit!"

"We had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The service was outstanding, with staff that were both warm and friendly. The dining area was very comfortable and clean, and the food, wine, and beers were all great. What more could we ask for? Well, we were truly impressed when my partner requested a bottle of Rosé Prosecco. Although the staff informed her that they didn’t have it, the manager personally came to our table to apologize for the oversight. He offered us a bottle of English sparkling rosé as a substitute, and to our surprise, it was provided at no extra charge. This is a perfect example of exceptional customer service—they truly went above and beyond. Will we return? Absolutely! A big thank you to the staff and management for being so welcoming and for making our visit memorable for all the right reasons."

"We were sat in the doorway despite there being plenty of space further inside. I think it was because we had our 8 month old baby with us. She was very well behaved and the waitress was very attentive to her so I can only assume that it's a policy not to let babies in, something I was not made aware of despite clearly stating on my booking email that she would be with us. Unfortunately my burger was burnt but again the waitress was very nice, she apologised and got me a fresh one. The dessert options were limited, I think it's more of an afternoon tea place, those options looked lovely. Probably wouldn't rush back."

"Four of us came out at short notice on a mid-Feb dank evening for a birthday. Generally quiet but enough people around to make the settings for both the drinks in the Refectory and the meals across in the BK feel jolly and affable. We had a really good time stretched well over three hours. The cocktails worked well and the friendly efficient staff in the restaurant together with the first rate food and wines combined for perfect birthday supper. The cocktail prices blur in the memory but the BK part cost us not much over £70 each. No reservations at all. BK remains part of our small handful of favoured and reliable Plymouth restaurants."

"Friendly pub with a good menu. We both enjoyed our lunches though I have to say the pie was great, better than the fish and chips (the batter was not the greatest very yellow and not as crisp and bubbly as some but the fish was good). Portion size is very generous. Lunch time deals are good. Would def recommend and would go back. Bill was around £35 for two courses and a drink can't argue. Didn't even need a dinner that night monster sized sticky toffee pudding! Quite a few people in on lunch time (it was valentines though) which is great to see."

"we went to Sunday afternoon and had a table booked. I had fish and chips and my man and my daughter had burger. the food was served piping hot and was delicious. my fish was perfectly boiled and served with chips, mushy heaps and tartar sauce. the burgers looked good. my daughter changed her fries to sweet potato fries for a 50p extra fee, but she said they were delicious. my man ordered a shandy, but was served as a pint of abbotts. to the luck he noticed and it was changed quickly. unfortunately we were too full of desserts. we have eaten here often and I'm sure we're coming back. it is a beautiful place for all age groups. everyone is very helpful and the service is good."

"We ended our intimate wedding celebration with a meal at Jacques. It was our first time there, but it certainly won't be our last. The food was delicious and the ambiance, decor, and service were all top-notch. A pleasant surprise was the live music on Wednesday nights by the Emma Skip duo, who added to the already perfect evening. We absolutely loved it. Meal Type: Dinner."

"Charming pub with fantastic food, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was very nice, but they definitely need to install some privacy glass on the large window right in front of the toilet. It was a hassle to keep pulling the blind up and down, which is a simple fix. Rooms: 4, Service: 5, Location: 4."

"My first and last experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I went with friends for a meal, but we were disappointed by the quality of the food. I ordered the beef short rib, which was tough and dry due to being a fatty cut. The dish lacked sauce and the vegetables were bland, though the Dauphinois potatoes were tasty. My wife ordered a rare flat iron steak, but it arrived medium rare and was tough to chew. When we brought this up to the staff, they initially claimed we should have ordered it differently, but eventually admitted the mistake. Despite this, they were unable to find a satisfactory solution, and my wife did not eat the steak. To make matters worse, when I received the bill for £200 for four people (including 1 main dish and 1.5 drinks per person), I was still charged for the uneaten steak. Reluctantly, I paid to avoid causing a scene with our guests. I was disappointed by both the food quality and the service response to our complaint, and we will not be returning. "When we got there our table had been given to someone else so we were put in a corner right next to another table within earshot for the whole evening... The starter and main was lovely but the dessert, a simple Eton mess was inedible... A bowl of mush with cream and a strawberry on top... They took it back and took it off the bill but it ruined the experience of a romantic meal."
