"yesterday we had one of the worst experiences in a restaurant. I was in the hospital and on the way to home made a reservation about the phone. Once we entered, we were accompanied on our table and given menus. 5 minutes after we had set ourselves, the very rude waitress (possibly South African) marched on our table and announced before the whole restaurant that we did not wear the right clothes and therefore had to leave clothes or change because they could not serve us. I am perfect with restaurants with a dress code (although they are in the rule in mayfair not knowle high st.) which I did not like was that this was not imparted to us on more discreet wise. it was very embarrassing, and we were made to feel like we were among them. we live in hampton in Arden, not a million miles away. yes, we were under dressed, but it was a Sunday afternoon afternoon, morning. If the waitress had been kind enough to talk with something decor, she would have realized that we had just arrived from the sick house and celebrated my good health, which explains the pension. I will not come back. I never felt so humiliated in my whole life."

My goodness where to start , The staff were so attentive and genuine, Sam especially and our wonder waiter . The food was incredible, totally stunning . The restaurant ambiance is relaxing and the decor is beautiful. The attention to detail is absolutely gorgeous!!Thank you for a wonderful evening

Had Sunday lunch here with friends. Very impressed with the food and the interesting interior. I had the pork belly, which was very good but judging from my friends' roast beef I might have made the wrong choice! Not the cheapest restaurant I've visited but I can honestly say I got what I paid for. Will come again the next time I'm in the Solihull area.

can not praise jacques enough, we all had such a wonderful evening, we were greeted by a beautiful young lady named olivia who showed us on our table, service was exceptional, and I think the dame that was served during the evening hannah, I personally think she is a credit of jacques, as she knew exactly when to check if we needed to bring big foods and if the food was just going to eat

We had a wonderful breakfast at Jacques to celebrate a 40th birthday. Such a gorgeous place which felt special, but not uptight or stuffy with it. The food was delicious as was the coffee. Service was a little slow but we were enjoying ourselves so it wasn't a big deal. (They also noticed the delay and did apologise to us) It's slightly more expensive, we spent £24 each on breakfast, but for a special occasion we all felt it was totally worth. I hope to visit again soon!

Very disappointed when I secured the booking I did make them aware I would be bringing in a cake however this is not allowed also asked if the birthday lady would get a birthday drink we got charged for this . Also soup was cold had to go back to be reheated in the microwave no Doubt .lamb was chewy and the wait time for mains seemed longer than they said . Staff was rude and mangers made no effort to put right their mistake . We had a party of 8 and spent quite a lot of money and ended upDisappointed. Spoilt the evening.
