"We had booked lunch for four of us at 1pm. When we arrived the place was deserted. Just two bar staff and us. The service was good, but I'd rate the choice and quality of food as very average. Halfway through our meal, several locals turned up and started playing pool at the other end of the bar. Other than that, the place was devoid of any ambience and it was all rather disappointing."

Food was great, service wasn't the quickest and the bar was a bit cold, but despite that we had a great time. Would defiantly go back, just with a thicker jumper on!

We went for the Sundsy lunch. Very nice it was too. This was our 2nd visit and it won't be the last !. The Service was great and the food matched the service. Nothing was too much trouble. We will return.

we have beaten on the lärmfront: three big parties, two of which were on the bottom? Prosecco menu. oh good: at least a busy pub/restaurant is less likely to close forever! staff very polite and friendly, eat very well.

beautiful pub, nice and warm and a great steak and ale with stylton cake. it might have been a bit hotter, but was warm enough to eat. great service and friendly staff. hubby loves the sticky toffee powder. we will definitely return. View menu

Fantastic pub with excellent beer choices , staff cannot do enough for you. The food was fantastic and the staff was so informative. In total there were 6 of us and all we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Cannot recommend highly enough

we had a super Sunday lunch, it could not fail excellent service from the beautiful young workers; hot, tasty and well cooked eating; reasonable price, what is not to like? we loved it and will definitely be back. we will not hesitate to recommend the fighting cocks to our friends and family!
