"Since the well-run and ever better informed diners of london visit the market for authenticity, it is interesting to see how the restaurant of the middle market Indian' is coming. where I come from, no single Indian restaurant is operated by a person who has ever been in india (the family behind the taj mahal originates from karachi, and the man who promises a taste of india, hails from chittagong.) but in the city london and in countless suburbs, we have come to accept, embrace and always ask we go for a curry' instantly connotable asses of mild deception, civil and frivole entertainment and feel very full with delicious meat and fat. and there is always this beautiful moment when they serve them a laminated menu of frozen desserts in a plastic penuin that they would have rejected, even if they were not too full again because it is a disturbing picture. sripur is close to my office, zomato informed me, so I led us there about a precurry doombar in the cheshire Cheese./ and yes, in the old of dishoom, food trucks and Michelin-starred curry kitchen, the mid-market curry house of the city is alive and well. / I say the medium market because for two of us, with a poppadom, a tandoori mixed grill everyone, say chana, roti and naan, plus two large kingfishers each, the bill came to £60. < br>/ but it was great. not spectacular, but the mixed grill was exactly what they want to stand at this price point among these. the keema was substantial, the fehde. the naans were a bit thin and crispy for my personal taste, but they said and channa were both deliciously fed. and kingfisher is kingfisher a sin qua non of a good (british) curry experience./ was sripur as location service is friendly enough, efficient and uninvasive. it is mainly colonized by some men in suits. not the loud, obnoxic art, but a smashing, something behind their best gray-handed-the-ears chaps with loose ties and the intention of a £40 taxi house in front of them. / could have had another curry for it."

"I popped in here as one does occasionally with family on Thursday 24th October 2019 just after midday. It is an unassuming place, looking like your typical local café, located on the corner as one half of a building which also consists of the Bon Bon Newsagents and Store next door. Firstly, this is not a disabled friendly building. Nothing here that is disabled compliant, however you can get a walker and a wheelchair up the step and through the two doors with assistance. It is also possible to put a walker (as long as they fold up) behind a seat while having a table, so 2 people with such would need a 4-seater. It is also possible to put 1 wheelchair in place of 1 seat at the main table (from a straight line from the entrance past the counter) facing the back of the café with moving the table behind. Provided the café is not packed and again with assistance. The owners are very good in respect of providing assistance and help where possible. Note also the furniture is basic, just tables and chairs. There is no inside toilet but one cubicle accessible outside via the back door. It can and often does get very packed as popular with locals, visitors, local workmen, lots of people. Access between tables can be narrow and one orders at the Counter, your order sans drinks is brought over. Why do I recommend going here? Never judge a book by it’s cover. Mistakenly passing on this place as just another greasy spoon is a tragedy. The secret is what its kitchen can do! Cooked Breakfasts, several set menus and a 7-item choice breakfast. Choice burgers, such as Cheeseburger Quarter pounders with all trimmings and Chips. The Specials board is a gem. Among others such as Faggots and Cottage Pie, when available are Roast Dinners. Such as I had today and one of the best you can get at any price. 3 vegetables, carrots, garden peas and cabbage with crisp Roast Potatoes usually in a giant Yorkshire Pudding (if not, like today a normal sized one). The Roast Beef is perfect and plenty of it, perfectly Roasted and melt in the mouth. A decent Coffee and Tea is served and Soft Drink Cans available from the fridge near the counter. Some menu dishes include tea or coffee. Some are also available like the Burgers to takeaway. In the evening after it closes in the Afternoon at around 2pm, it transforms in Al’s Tikka Grill, an authentic Indian Restaurant to reopen from 5pm. So, if want one of the best café’s around and it is nicely situated opposite Ashton Park. Staff are pleasant and I note a TV is on showing Sky Sports usually albeit no sound. I find the place nicely decorated with a mixture of local Bristol decor and Indian décor. The place is kept very clean which is always a good sign. You like any of the food mentioned, do visit and try their food! Better than several local, more expensive and more up market establishments, after all that is why you go out to eat isn’t it. Highly recommended by me!"

"My long awaited visit to Ravishankar restaurant on Drummond Street in London with my family turned out to be disappointing. The restaurant was empty on a Monday afternoon, and the sole waiter 's rudeness and lack of hospitality ruined our dining experience. To my dismay, I later found similar negative reviews online, indicating recurring service issues at the restaurant. I had been eagerly planning a visit to Ravishankar restaurant on Drummond Street in London since morning, as I wanted to make my parents feel at home during their visit to London. Being an Indian, I was hopeful that we could enjoy some delicious Indian cuisine together and create wonderful memories. However, our experience at the restaurant turned out to be quite disappointing. Despite our excitement, the restaurant was totally empty on a Monday afternoon, and there was only one waiter present. He greeted us in a disheartening manner by carelessly throwing the napkins on the table instead of placing them nicely. When I politely addressed the issue, he responded with rudeness, refusing to serve us and raising his voice. What puzzled us the most was the waiter 's inexplicable comment, This is not India, I will not serve you. It was a completely inappropriate response that left us questioning what point he was trying to make. Regardless of cultural differences or location, a restaurant should always strive to provide excellent service and treat all customers with respect and hospitality. To my dismay, upon returning home, I decided to check online reviews and discovered that multiple people had experienced similar service issues at Ravishankar restaurant. One person shared a similar rude encounter during the evening hours, which indicates a recurring problem with the restaurant 's service. It is disheartening to witness that such negative experiences are not isolated incidents but rather a pattern. As someone who was looking forward to having a pleasant dining experience with family, it 's deeply concerning to see that other patrons have also faced the same treatment. I hope this review serves as an alert to the owner/management about the ongoing service problems at Ravishankar restaurant. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect and hospitality, regardless of the time of day or the number of diners present. Improving the quality of service should be a top priority to ensure a positive dining experience for all guests and to restore the restaurant 's reputation for authentic Indian cuisine and warm hospitality."
