"We were genuinely and happily stunned to enjoy this gem of a restaurant. First class fine dining, in Indian food. The food really is exceptional, beautiful, original and delicious (with a good vegan menu available). The service was second to none, attentive, polite, informative and friendly. The atmosphere and decor was soothing, quiet and done well. Our only surprise was that it wasn't already jam packed! DEFINITELY recommended, a rare treat. Notes; Spiced crab starter was sublime. Fig and coriander naan was pure genius. Lemon and mustard seed rice was perfection. Lamb shank was a spicy gastronomic delight. My vegan dining partner was also very happy with their choices too."

"found this small hotel/bar/restraunt through Google search when my pre-booked choice had left me down. only very late at the day of arrival contacted, fortunately they had available space for 2x double rooms. the personal could not have been more helpful. kitchen only open to order food unit 20:30, but eating was really well prepared and menu reasonably wide. the bar closes at 22:00 and there are no employees after that. breakfast not included in the room rate and only available from 09:30 clock. I could have included the quality and the price-performance ratio of the full English breakfast £10 except it would have coffee / tee. still it was excellent. the room where I was well furnished had good facilities. many hot water at good pressure to have a very welcome shower. the bathroom also had a large deck bath. despite the proximity to a40, traffic noises want a problem, even with the space window well opened. total ... a great stay. well done to the whole team here. Yeah, I'm back."

"I got my friend there for a birthday contract. the man at the reception was not very friendly. looks like he didn't want to be there. I wanted to take a place in the reception area and bring us drinks menu. we ordered two tees. they came to our small table in the reception area without teaspoon or sugar just a little milkpot. we then became the main menu we didn't want as we wanted the afternoon menu. He brought this and we said we wanted the afternoon. then he told us we have to book this in advance! I was not given the opportunity to book any meal online. we died to order only scene. they were taken to the table at the reception to ask us if we could sit in the main restaurant, what they said we could. we had to do our potte and tassen etc. to the restaurant. there were only three other people who were there all the time. the food was ok. scones very small for the price. it was cold, no music and no atmosphere. the personal was not about friendly and we could not wait to go. will not disturb to come back what is a candid, as the setting is very beautiful."

However food was really ordinary the bread tasted like a toasted sliced loaf and the meats were poor quality. Vegetarian dish was fine but totally unremarkable. We dined on a 50% discount offer but had we paid full price would have felt really hard done by."

"We wanted to try out Indian cuisine around Battersea and decided to give Cinnamon kitchen a try. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. We didn't have a booking but the staff were courteous enough to give us a seat. The seat was not that great as it was facing the kitchen. No complaints since we didn't have a booking. So highly recommend booking in advance during the weekend. Now in terms of food we had the achari lamb dish and curried hummus for starters. I would rate the lamb starters 3/5 as I felt that the achari flavour was not that prominent. The lamb was perfectly cooked. Hummus deserves 4/5. For mains, we tried the chicken biriyani. It was flavourful and I would rate it 4/5. For dessert, we tried the Shirkand cheesecake. This was the best and I would rate it 5/5. They have a good selection of wine too. The ambience was nice and the staff were very attentive. There was a lady (couldn't get her name) who went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Thank you!"

"I really enjoyed the food at this Indian restaurant. I have had many Indian meals but this one was particularly satisfying. The sea bass was outstanding, and the railway lamb, mushrooms, and garlic naan were also delicious. I highly recommend this place."

"great self-tasting experience. came here with my father to the birthday, shared some of the delicious tapas style little teller. the staff was very friendly and even arranged for free champagner when we arrived. every organic wine was something we had never tried before and they were all unbelievable! would recommend visiting on Monday as they can buy one of the bottles we tried in their shop. great experience would definitely come back!"

"on the last Friday evening our meal enjoyed very much. the restaurant wasn't busy, but eating was great. the three of us had scallops as starter and we would certainly recommend. the coco sauce with light kick and scallops, which were cooked for perfection, were enjoyed by all."

"We enjoyed the afternoon tea, which was quite good, but the overall experience was somewhat diminished by the poor quality of the environment. We were seated in the lounge area where a business meeting was taking place; while we didn't mind that, the entire space felt uninviting. It would have been better if a separate area had been designated for afternoon tea, as we weren't the only guests present. Additionally, a proper tablecloth would have elevated the look of our table, making the experience feel more special and enjoyable. The afternoon was enjoyable, but I fear the lack of ambiance took away from the charm."

"We'll definitely give them another visit. We went on a Sunday evening pre-booked though we probably didn't need to. It was quite hard to get served, because the staff were so chilled they just left us to ourselves. The service itself was fine, though the food took a wee while to appear. It was just that whenever we wanted something like a drink, or to order food, we had to go looking for someone to tell. All quite odd. The food we had was excellent I had a burger, which was large, meaty and with good accompaniments. My wife had fishcake which she said was excellent. Both meals were fresh and piping hot tick! The beer I had was well kept and Lucy had a good glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. All at a reasonable price. We'll be back."

"Bad time to ask me to write a review... ???? Maybe it was the heat but todays visit did not go well, been here a number of times before with zero issues. Its a great location in the nice weather.... but things went awry this time. Slightly over 2.5 hrs to get served a 3 course meal even after prompting gently that we were still waiting. Multiple table visits by different staff querying what had been ordered, what we were waiting for, serving the wrong order to the wrong table. Even the bill at the end had to go back twice to be amended. Even then the itemisation was still wrong, I lost the will to live at this point, paid and left. Shame as it was my mums birthday weekend. It hasn't put me off though as the ambience, location and staff in general are and were great. Just one of those days I hope..... ????"

"I visited last Saturday morning with family when visiting the nearby Isle of Sheppey, I can't begin to say how great this was. We went back same evening! The owner/host Musa who is also the chef, is just marvellous. Greatly courteous, classy, and so outrageously skilled as a chef too! I lived in Mexico 2 years, love Mexican culture, fanatic about Mexican food. For lunch we ordered Fajitas, Chimichanga, and Garlic Prawns. All sublime, super tender beef, superb Chimichanga, the prawns tasted as good as it gets presented in French style (the owner/chef also has a French restaurant). In the evening we tried tacos, salty squid, and churros. The atmosphere was wonderful, like you have come out of the boring day and gone to an exotic Latin mini-vacation! Humelo is a GREAT guy, we had such great chat and interaction and so much laughs together, we all even danced together to a Latin classic later. More amazing, is the prices. I paid almost the same as I paid for the beautiful Chimichanga dish, or the superb Fajitas (enough for 2) as a silly Kebab from a shop the night before, only 2-4 Pounds higher. So a top gourmet luxury restaurant with superb ambience and food, and at prices close to a regular pizzeria! My 13 year old son fell in love with the place and the food. We have talked about booking a hotel nearby, and drive all the way from Richmond just to visit again, THAT is how much we loved it! Thank you Musa, thank you Humelo, hope to see you soon again!"

"Meet with a warm welcome to this funky Mexican restaurant. Cocktails were nice. Ordered beef tacos and steak fajitas. Food was ok not great but not bad. Was pipping hot but bland nothing special what you can cook at home but better presented. Was not marinated steak, was beef stir-fry strips with a bit of seasoning thrown on whilst cooking. Taco meat was chilli con carne that was frozen and defrosted very oily. Not homemade tacos as advertised. Servers and barman more interested in entertaining there friends outside smoking. Served and forgotten about after food arrived . Clearly started with the best intentions but obviously no care now. Also service charge on the bill which I don't agree with."

"This was our first time visiting this restaurant and we were quite disappointed. To start, they did not have any sparkling water available, which was fine. When my husband asked for an alternative, he was given soda water despite expressing his dislike for it. He requested lime and soda instead, but only received a slice of lime with his wine after a 10-minute wait. The waitress lacked customer service skills and did not seem friendly. It took another 10 minutes for my husband's drink to arrive, and even then, it was just a plain soda water with lime. The food was alright, although it was not very hot. No staff came to check if everything was satisfactory or to offer dessert. In the end, we paid the bill and left, as nobody attended to us. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this restaurant. It was not even busy, so there is no excuse for the lack of service."

"My best friend and I were meeting for the first time since the pandemic and this restaurant gave us a truly wonderful evening. The food was incredibly tasty, and the ambience was relaxed, happy and friendly and the staff were superb. They explained dishes, made fabulous suggestions, were caring and helpful to one middleaged and one elderly lady throughout. We enjoyed ourselves enormously I just wish I didn’t live 200 miles away and could visit often. My friend however does live locally and will be back! Thank you to every single member of staff for great food and a great evening out."

"At the bar, drinks were being poured and the girl mentioned that the cocktail would take a while to be brought to the table. There were a total of 9 people in the bar/lounge area with three servers. After 15 minutes, I noticed the bartender folding napkins and asked for the cocktail. He gestured towards the bar where the girl had been standing before serving other customers. The bartender seemed disinterested and gave me a look as if to say, "How dare you ask?" In the restaurant, which had 5 dining tables, my daughter requested a Hendrick's gin and tonic but the server had never heard of it. She suggested a Bombay Sapphire instead, but they were out of that too. My wife asked for black pepper, but the server claimed they only had white pepper in the shaker on the table. Midway through the meal, the restaurant managers ran by and inquired about the missing black pepper. Eventually, a server brought a pepper pot to the table and mentioned that it took so long because they didn't know how to open it, but it turned out to be a pepper grinder. Despite the food being good and the service friendly, the staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing. This particular location, the Marriot Highcliff Hotel in Bournemouth, does not live up to the standards of the Marriot Group. It lacked a sense of responsibility and interest, giving off a poor impression overall. A bizarre and disappointing experience."

"We started with scallops and black pudding with garlic cheese bread. It was very well presented. For the net we had fish and chips and steak sandwich. The fish was with a beer batter and the chips were freshly made. The Steak sandwich was once again excellent with fresh chips. I didn't see any signs that the food was prepared or cooked in a bag. It looked and tasted freshly prepared. The waiter wanted to make our food experience good and he succeeded. The cook came and had a word with us and I said he needed to annoy the owners to better market the place. It was only a few weeks open, we cancelled a table in the Clarence to try it out and we were not disappointed. If you read this, you might think I have a connection to the restaurant, but I don't. I never liked the bar so much, but Bury had only two ways to eat (automatic) for the city center. Now it has three. Go. On the bottom we were the only diners on a Friday night at 7 p.m. You need advertising for the food was great. A bottom, they only take food orders until 9:00, which is a bit early for some diners. I hope they can meet a balance between a thriving bar / late evening and a culinary experience."

"Just had a take away ordered for 8 and collected spot on time. Should have realised when restaurant was totally empty and no staff there,in addition food was there boxed and ready. Good you may say however it was lukewarm and I had the feeling it had been awaiting my arrival for a while. The sea bass was overcooked by a mile and my trio was not as expected but that may be just me? The best thing as my wife ever the practical one,said the boxes were great and we can use them at home!"

"The food was fantastic, however it was disappointing that they were completely inflexible with something simple like replacing Ox Cheek with Chicken for a vindaloo meaning one of our diners couldn 't have a vindaloo. The next request should be simple for ANY kitchen with no major changes to a sauce/dish. PLEASE COULD YOU MAKE DISH 'X ' VERY HOT? Nope, it came out what was, I guess, standard. At the end of the meal we were left with the dessert menus for around 20 minutes with nobody coming back and had to get the attention of someone as they were going to the kitchen. Shame the low service levels let it down, and really, do you have to go over 5x price on a standard bottle of wine? I expect to pay a lot more that retail but don 't take the P!"
