"This was our first time visiting this restaurant and we were quite disappointed. To start, they did not have any sparkling water available, which was fine. When my husband asked for an alternative, he was given soda water despite expressing his dislike for it. He requested lime and soda instead, but only received a slice of lime with his wine after a 10-minute wait. The waitress lacked customer service skills and did not seem friendly. It took another 10 minutes for my husband's drink to arrive, and even then, it was just a plain soda water with lime. The food was alright, although it was not very hot. No staff came to check if everything was satisfactory or to offer dessert. In the end, we paid the bill and left, as nobody attended to us. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this restaurant. It was not even busy, so there is no excuse for the lack of service."

Set in the idyllic New Forest. Very quiet but it was mid-week and Mum had the chicken burger and you would need to be really hungry to finish it Well recommended.

Fantastic service. Turned up after other plans were aborted without a reservation and they fitted us in. Made sure our dinner was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. Food was superb and very tasty Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We booked a table for but when we got there they told us that the kitchen was closing at We felt rushed and we had the last bits of the roast, which was not worth the money. Such a shame, as a local...it’s good to find places that you want to go to again and again but we will not return. View menu

The roast beef on Sunday was good, with generous portions of Yorkshire pudding. My 89-year-old Mum doesn't eat much, so she opted for the half-price child's portion. The burger was excellent, and the pint of Camden IPA was enjoyable. The price per person ranged from £20-30. The food was rated 4 out of 5, service was rated 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere was rated 4 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the Sunday Roast and Forest Burger.

We stayed at the Beaulieu Inn this weekend and had such a great stay. We was going to find somewhere in the New Forest to eat out but ended up eating in this pub located on site. So pleased we did, the food was stunning...and the service was really good. Very attentive and friendly staff. Its not often me and my partner come away and both agree on the experience. Shes a fussy eater and im a stickler for good service. We both came away agreeing for the first time!! Will be back again soon.

We went to this pub for Saturday lunch, as it has always been a favorite of ours. However, our experience this time was disappointing. The menu was lackluster, the prices were high, and the service was terrible. They accidentally burnt my child with a hot plate, but showed no concern or offered any assistance. The atmosphere was cold, even though they usually have cozy log fires. Starters and mains were served together, and our server seemed lost and inattentive. We had to repeatedly ask for missing dishes and dessert took forever to arrive. We had to chase down the staff for the bill, and even then, the response was minimal. The setting was lovely, but the service was extremely lacking and... View menu

It was overall a very odd experience. We got seen quickly, order taken. Drinks came out wrong, as did the food. Then the female server, presume manager, came to say that what we had ordered wasn't available and would we like something else. The food was yummy but the manager went on a break at that point which left the other staff to try and manage. They were hopeless! There were lots of tables waiting for either their order to be taken or plates to be cleared... the serving staff didn't notice. When we got the bill from the server, we had been charged for the food we didn't order as well as what we did. When the manager came back 45 minutes later, she took off all the food so we paid just f...

We went to Sunday lunch as a birthday treat. Over half an hour wait for drinks, and well over an hour and a half for food to arrive. No attention from staff at all, who only offered a perfunctory 'sorry for the delay '. We didn 't order sweet, as we could see from the table next to us, that they had ordered their sweet when we arrived, and had only just been served when we 'd finished our very-delayed main. The food itself was ok, but nothing fantastic. For the first time ever, I spoke to the manager to ask for a reduction in bill, and insisted that the cost of drinks be removed as compensation for the terrible service. Even then, I never got a proper apology. I fully realise that sometimes...
