"My wife and I stayed here for a few days to celebrate my birthday. We chose Titchwell Manor due to its location on the A149. From here we can catch the Coasthopper up or down the coast. The bus stops are 100 metres outside the hotel. We were greeted in the car park and shown to our room behind the hotel. We had Basil number 21. It is a large comfortable room, with walk in shower and the fluffiest towels we have ever had. The room was very well heated and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was served from a civilised 8am. The plate of fresh fruit was really good. If you choose to have you eggs poached they will be the most perfect you will ever have with their lovely orange yokes. The rest of the components were equally good and served with leaf tea or great coffee. The bars each had a lovely roaring log fire, where we enjoyed a drink before our meal. The menu choices we made were ham hock, brioche piccalilli and burnt apple purée followed by venison, Jerusalem artichoke and rainbow kale. The other choice was marinated beetroot, basil pesto and goats cheese cream followed by salt baked celeriac, sage and onion with crispy kale. Both meals were outstanding. The venison was very tender and the celeriac was outstanding. On the basis of this dish, a very under stated vegetable. Service was very good and served at a speed we dictated without the continual pestering we have experienced elsewhere. We will definitely come back here as the whole stay was a great experience."

"“We really need to check this place...” and we are so glad we made it! extraordinary eating in a relaxing atmosphere. my wife had discovered the golden fleece when we visited the a street in direction leeds a series of times and I had remembered that I visited many, many months before and after him, but not overly impressed. this return, however, gave much better results and I suspect that we are going back much earlier than before, the visit was so much enjoyed. we have booked for a lunch table for three (a solemn eating for my vater birthday, which was opened as well as the doors and this proved to be the best decision for the venue (the golden fleece can not only be called pub, was very busy with a Sunday lunch group that knew exactly how good the fare was and my gods eat it! I went for the wonderful and delicately drawn pig bhaji/black pudding balls starter, but had to try out the prawnography prawn cocktail, partly because of the freky title, but also because of the description of "the best garnish cocktail in the world ever!” now, I will be the judge of it, many thanks! and, yes, I think they are right! a combination of shredded, fresh and cocktail puwn, all wonderfully fresh and tasty, paired with fresh crispy salad, strikingly presented and a lot of it! the teig was a special way out – very light and tasty – but the whole thing was good to pay the extra starter price. the prawn cocktail was actually part of the Sunday menu deal, making it an even better appealing option. my main course consisted of the bark and gammonbread dinner – other meats are available, but if it melted and tasted like the beef/gammon did, I would like to know who their source of meat is, as it was really the next level, I hardly needed a knife to cut it. the veg was honey glazed, again beautifully prepared, and the other meal times ordered by our party were equally enjoyed. forget about compliments to the chef, I wanted to go and buy the man a pint or two! combine this with a warm and relaxed old style setting and incredibly attentive and positive staff, and they have the production of a visit that comes in our memories for many months. visit the golden fleece to make yourself, they will not be disappointed."
