Booked lunch here and found the place has changed a lot from our last visit for the worst, price for mains very small portions.

the food was great and really enjoyed it. only got a cup of coffee and once eating and drinks were served nobody asked if we were in order or wanted something.

We were treated to this by our daughter for our 57th wedding anniversary, it was lovely though we felt a little too expensive, we would recommend it though I think you need to reduce the prices a bit. View menu

Although we arrived at the expensive end, the tee was all we would have wished for in terms of food, ambiente and service. there is no crocheted sandwiches and the champagne was just as it should be. the service was fast and responsive.

Even you have opened me and had e-mail and text to prove that the restaurant had no recognition for my booking. they had no great representation and were constantly tormenting when I booked. when we finally got a table, the service was slow and no excuse for mixing. will not return.

My afternoon tea was fabulous the food was great but the tea could have been a bit warmer. The staff were very helpful and found space for me and my party when it appeared Open Table had not secured my booking, when it was made over eight weeks prior to the date of my booking. In future I will go directly to the hotel to secure my booking rather than go through Open Table as it could have been a disaster because it was busy. View menu

Booked table for afternoon teas. Young staff were very pleasant but the afternoon tea in itself was very poor. Not enough sandwiches and poor cake selections. Scones were top class. Being in the industry I try not to look at it too critically but thought cake (if you could call it that) was mainly chocolate as in macaroon and bite size carrot cake and bite size brownie. At over per person I did not leave thinking… I might book again !! All in all a poor experience.

Thank you for a great day out in Salon Bar. I took my mum 85yrs and family for afternoon tea . My mum does not get out much and gets anxious sometimes you staff from Hotel Potter to waiting staff could not have been any more pleasant and helpful in making my mums day special for her . Your afternoon tea and service was outstanding . My family and I would like to thank you and look forward to joining you all again .My mum said it was one off the best afternoons she has had Thank you

note that the offer on open table for afternoon tee in spa is not in the upper floor room. fortunately, the employees found a place for us, as this was a tasty bite for the 87th birthday of my mother. the hotel was very apologetic, but clearly this is a common event. since the spa is in the cellar next to the pools, this was obviously not where we expected to have or wish to have the afternoon, it is quite dark and damp down there! In addition, the signage for the elevator in the first stage was not good, including the exit to the bar, which was blocked by a drink car and table, I think that this area of the bar was used for a party, but the way to the elevator should not have been blocked,...
