"While our room was beautiful and luxurious, complete with a convenient Nespresso machine, the overall amenities didn't meet the expectations of a five-star establishment. Barnett Hill may not have spa facilities, but the fresh flowers there added a special touch. On the other hand, the spa at Alexander House had a nice aroma, and the rooms smelled pleasant as well. The bed was comfortable, which was a plus. Sophie, our waitress, was delightful and made our dining experience enjoyable. Additionally, I appreciated the thoughtful note and treat from the staff for our anniversary. However, we faced issues with our TV, which took the staff an hour and multiple visits to finally replace. The room also had dust and cobwebs, and the noise from the adjoining room was extremely disruptive, making it feel like we were sharing the same space. Unfortunately, Alexander House does not compare to Pennyhill Spa, which truly embodies five-star luxury. In summary, the rooms at Alexander House didn't feel as luxurious as we had expected for the price we paid. I noticed peeling wallpaper and paint on the doors, and it would have been a nice touch to have heated floors in such a large bathroom, especially considering the noise coming from the next room with the adjoining door."

We have stayed here previously and will return again for sure. Nothing is perfect and we had a couple of minor concerns which Rebecca the manager responded to and dealt with. I had a wonderful afternoon tea with friends. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly and routinely checked to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful, with ample parking available, and the views are stunning. Overall, I would rate the service and location as a perfect 5. Hotel highlights: luxury.

£530 paid for a spa suite room for ONE night. Apparently spa means there 's a bathtub in addition to a shower. To be fair the bathroom and room are quite big. However, for £530 we get no access to the actual spa/pool That 's £20 extra. Also there 's no phone in room there 's this stupid google hive thing that basically doesn 't work. I 've been trying to use it to contact reception for about 15 minutes now and it just doesn 't connect. I 'm trying to reach reception because have WIFI but it 's requiring a password, and they haven 't provided this. So unless I get dressed and walk to reception I 'm not gonna gain WIFI access, hence this review is written with mobile data on my phone. Not wort...
