"My husband and I had a wonderful lunch in Pan Pist. The food was fresh, inventive and beautifully prepared. I had a beautiful salad with impeccably fresh green, fiore, raspberries, blueberries for pops of color with the heartpiece Burrata with anchovies, in a thin crunchy bowl. Wonderfully inventive and a pleasure to eat and see. My husband had porcini mushrooms served in a rich cheese sauce hot cake. My secondi piati was a hearty stew with an interesting mix of peas, Garbanzo beans, Cannellini beans, Lupini beans, barlotti beans, green beans, onions, tiny chops of zucchini, carrots and more. My husband had the Gnocchetti in a rich tomato sauce that we think is Gorgonzola. Great! The trio of Sorbetti (Pistachio, hazelnuts and blood orange) was a refreshing dagger we shared. Our beautiful server (Clark) spoke good English and was very helpful to us. The owner/cook who did not speak much English was warm, friendly and welcoming. There was a big party in front of the restaurant with a family birthday party, and we can see why they chose this lovely restaurant to celebrate a special family celebration."

"un tavolo con vista sulle dolci colline dei laghi, piatti tipici succulenti cucinati con cura, l'ottimo vino della zona. per racchiudere tutto questo professionale e allo stesso tempo così familiare ospitalità di una donna speciale, lori, innamorato del suo lavoro e della sua famiglia, un sorriso contagioso che ti fa sentire a casa. Eravamo amici in vacanza qui intorno e alla ricerca di un posto accogliente per cenare. abbiamo trovato la locanda e siamo stati davvero fortunati: una serata indimenticabile. Se volete sapere come mangiare passato qui e non ve ne pentirete. Congratulazioni davvero!"

"family atmosphere and quiet. the right place to eat both good pizzas (also with wholemeal flour) and dishes, which squeeze the eye on the Sardinian tradition. friendly staff and right prices. compared to the beautiful furniture objects of the room, it would be to change the mobile dating display of the appetizers that melt a little."

"We went as a large family group for easter. It's a cozy restaurant, very welcoming. The food was delicious from the mixed cold meat starter with warm dough balls that you simply can't leave alone, to the vegetable flan with a delicate cheese sauce, an unusual but wonderful risotto with lemon, gnocchi, beef tagliata.. And finally dessert! The usual huge Italian Easter lunch that is a challenge for the hardiest eater! Service was great and we would most definitely return."

"It is not often that I am taken aback visiting restaurants here in this region.Mostly they serve the same type of food.So our recent visit to La Barbera was a real surprise.We have visited this restaurant several times before and it was always OK with typical Italian dishes and good pizza. This time we were served a variation of food we had never seen.Some examples:Marinated salmon with candied ginger,watermelon in port wine with a little polenta. Egg cooked in the oven with wild mushrooms,sauce made with Grana Padana cheese and truffles.Ripe eggplant with tomato confit and smoked scarmoza cheese sauce.Squid fried with potatoes and dry tomatoes.A series of desserts to follow all to die for.So what happended to the usual primi and secondi? It turns out the head chef Massimiliano Careri decided to upgrade the approach to the Italian tradition.Less pizza and pasta and more new creations based on the Italian cooking traditions.The result is no more than stunning,The prices are still very reasonable.The venue is located in the castle of Costigliole d'Asti and is in itself worth a visit. Ask to see the tasting rooms,the wine cellar and the cheese cave. You can choose a rustic room with and old oven or a more formal dining room including a separate room for small groups.I highly recommend a visit to this castle."
