"After running away from crowded Japanese restaurant in rue St.Anne we walked out of the street and bumped into Akita, where there were no people inside, very weird for a saturday-night I think. But well, at least a quiet place, nice ambience. The food was good (although the sashime could be just a little bit more fresh) and well-priced and the service was fine as well, although maybe a little bit unexperienced since we had to ask for the desserts menu ourselves and that somehow we had to use the cutlery and napkins from the table besides us as we didn't get any in the first place. The dessert also was good btw, the caramel piece or the mocha ice are worth trying!"

We had lunch at Akita. We have been there a few times before and the sushi are always good and fresh. The yakitori are also nice. The service is friendly and efficient. The prices are OK.

we had a very nice dinner at this cute little restaurant. Don't expect rolls like the US. They o more sushimi and small rolls. The grilled skewers and tempura were also delicious. The prices wed very reasonable. I would recommend.

The fish is super fresh and delicious, one of my go to place whenever i'm in Paris! Not only is the sushi amazing, the skewers they have with chicken and salmon are also fantastic. The waiters greet you with a smile, and the atmosphere is nice and cozy.

I've been many times to Akita either with friends or even only by myself.I have to say that I've never been disappointed with whatever I ordered, the service is very quick and, the quality/price ratio is probably the best among the restaurant in the area.I strongly recommend it! View menu

Fish was fresh and food was delicious including the over cooked edamame. Will not try again because of the attitude of the Waiters/waiters (even though they were not French) It's really shocking how France could turn Polite and kind Japanese people to little not so kind French monsters.

We stopped here for lunch while in between museums. What a great find! The food was outstanding, the service excellent, and the cost was incredibly inexpensive. A wonderful value. The other patrons seemed to be French business men and women. All locals - it was a wonderful lunch and I would highly recommend you seek this out.

Sushi lunch. While the fish was fresh, the amount of rice used for the rolls is absolutely insane. You can't even fit a whole piece in your mouth and when you do, you all but suffocate. I don't know if the use of so much rice is to give you the impression you are getting bang for your buck, but it is something we see frequently in French sushi places. Still, we should not have expected too much. View menu

Stayed about 250 feet from Akita and stared at the food all week long before finally stopping for dinner (we had had enough French food). The maguro and tako sashimi were amazing. The gyoza was good. We also had chicken and beef skewers and the flavors were wonderful. This was the perfect remedy to all of the rich foods you'll encounter in Paris. We went early to beat the crowd that consumes this place later in the evening.

This was near our hotel and there were many Japanese restaurants on this street. This one had an English menu on the door so we decided to try it. My husband loves sushi and he enjoyed it. I got the skewers which were ok but I wouldn't go back. The soup was terrible with very little flavour and the white rice was sticky and overcooked with no flavour. We were seated quickly but waited over 20 minutes to take our order since all of the staff at the restaurant were sitting and eating their dinner! I have never seen such a thing in Canada or the USA.
