"the visit, followed by a recommendation, was a positive surprise... in this old, but not familiar place.Ob now weinstube or gastätte does not play any role. the traditional ambiente, a bit of arliner pub, a bit of a weinstube or .... sprays a beautiful charm for well-being. Well organized, nice service, fair prices, solid German kitchen and good home cooking quality distinguish this economy! The enjoyable speciality, the wooden torhendl, was crispy grilled; the crusty skin might have been a bit darker. the meat was mainly tender and could be easily detached from the bone. the pommes were as they must be, crisp, cherry and tasty! Another recommendation from the map, American rumpsteak, on the point, as desired, medium cooked, good meat quality ... and all tastefully seasoned. Moreover, tasty sounding traditional mainzer dishes are offered. As a reasonably large portion, the price/performance ratio is more favorable! The drink card offers wine, beer and alcohol-free drinks in a reasonable variety.Who simply enjoy the traditionally host house beyond experimental cuisine while honestly appreciates the simple home cooking, this is well-resolved here in the right host room."

Mainz, a historic city on the Rhine, is known for its wine culture and Spundekäs, a creamy cheese dip often paired with pretzels; it's a central culinary delight.
