"My concierge recommended this little treasure not too far from the Opera Garnier, citing the "best creme brûlée in all of Paris." What a delicious evening! I ordered a half bottle of a white wine so crisp, dry and lovely it almost broke my heart. I can't believe I didn't write the name! Then I had delicious escargots, buttery and chewy, served with a baguette. For my main course, I had the sole muniere, a generously portioned (I could've easily shared with another) delicate fish simply prepared with lemon, butter and parsley. Finally, the famous creme brûlée and an espresso. Tres tres bien! I've not ever had a bad meal in Paris, but this was so lovely, I accosted my poor waiter to ask, "I have a philosophical question... why is the food here so important, so amazing?" He smiled and said, "it is not just for eating.... c'est pour le plasir..." it is for pleasure. Yes, indeed it is."

It was a traditional French experience that we loved the service was excellent and they tried to speak to us in English the food was excellent.

Enjoyed dinner very much. I had the duck shepard's pie and my guest had roasted pork tenderloin. She had raspberries and pistachio mousse tart for dessert and we both loved it. We also loved their house white wine which eas a vouvray.

Great setting, cozy, atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food, all made for a wonderful meal. I had the onion soup, haddock, ad a dessert sampler. My husband had the lentil salad, sea bass, and the dessert of the day. All delicious! The lentils were really good! Loved it all!

We stumbled upon this place and it looked like an old, local restaurant. The host welcomed us in and brought us to our seats, while the server had already brought us the menus and explained the specials of the day. Since my sister is Vegan and Gluten Free, the server told her the dishes she could eat.

We were here for a group dinner. The menu was limited and didn't appeal to me, so I had onion soup and a very over-priced salad. The soup was like dishwater. My husband also had onion soup. At 9 Eouros it should be outstanding, not tasteless. The waiter's English was very limited & as a result the service was not what it should have been. View menu

A very nice restaurant as to the atmosphere. All in the style of about 100 years ago (or more). The food tasted quite well and the prices were acceptable. A starter of union soup and a main dish with haddock and a coffee gourmand cost about 40 euro. A single glass of Sancerre was 8 euro, what i considered too high. Maybe i best ordered the house wine. If possible i would come back to enjoy the nice style of the restaurant. The service was fine and to the point.

Our hotel nearby recommended you as we could walk. I also wanted something old fashioned and French food. I love that you have a small menu and even then I couldn't decide. I had tomato salad which was amazing with melt in the mouth mozzarella. It was huge I couldn't finish it! After the pork fillet which was also beautiful. My husband had tuna and he said it was the best he has ever had. We shared dessert and had the wonderful house aperitif and wine and drinks to finish. Was €140 so well worth it. Very memorable evening.
