"We stayed in this beautiful hotel for one night. It was a struggle originally to get into the hotel as there's no reception! We had to ring a number to be told a code to enter the building.... Not stated on the booking confirmation. The room was nice but we were sadly greater by a nasty smell or waste (possibly drains). All facilities available hair dryer, towels, wash items and bedding was very clean. Dinner was served at 7:30pm but you can go down at 7pm. The menu we found was a bit pricey but the food was beautiful and highly recommended. Not very well catered for children I have a 16month old and food was very limited. There's only one high chair which is a seat to go on the chair which is actually broken so I'd take your own travel high chair if you can. The room we had was stunning but if you don't like noise of any sort as for a back room as we found the church bell going off hourly a little noisy but not to bad. Breakfast was served at 8:30am onwards and the choices were croissants, yogurts, hard boiled eggs! , sliced cheese and ham that's all. Now for the kind of hotel I would of thought a cooked brekkie would be on the cards but sadly not so we see a little disappointed and again nothing really for children. The tea selection is amazing but could I find a normal tea!!!!!!! Lol so ended up with green tea - hosts are as helpful as possible but very limited on English but they try there best. Cost wasn't bad but I think dinner as explained is a tad pricey. This hotel is great for couples but not for a family would we stay again sadly not."

We ate outside on a pleasant terrace. There was a good menu to choose from and service was friendly and smooth. Food was good with generous portions - all in all, very enjoyable.

Joli cadre dans un jardin aménagé avec goût, excellent accueil souriant et efficace, bon rapport qualité prix, et en plus tout près de l'autoroute A20 ... on y reviendra sûrement !

My husband and I met some friends for lunch. We try different restaurants that are in a central location between our two houses. So often we are disappointed but NOT at this Auberge. The food was good and there was a reasonable choice and the service was friendly. We will return to this Auberge

Friendly proprietor speaks good English. A quirky old building modernised to a high standard inside. Wi fi worked well. We didn't want an elaborate meal and we were offered a choice of simple alternatives not on the menu. The village is perched on a hillside above a scenic river with ancient bridge and is well worth exploring. Highly recommended.

We stopped at this lovely auberge en route to southern France. The building is ancient and is set in the equally ancient and very pretty little town of Pierre Buffiere. The rooms have been elegantly modernised and have excellent beds and showers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant deserves its fine reputation and we had a delicious meal following a pre-dinner drink on the warm sunny terrace overlooking the swimming pool. View menu

We called in for lunch having often driven past on the motorway, from which you get a tantalising glimpse of the pretty town. We had the menu du jour. A small salad to start, a very good steak and desert. Service was pleasant and rapid: the efficiency of the one waitress contrasted with the aimless wanderings of staff in some high class establishments we have eaten in. The room was big and airy on a very hot day, but we could have eaten on the rear terrace. The number of locals in the restaurant testifies to its quality. The house wines were adequate. The bill was about 35 euros. We will return.

We had the 'menu' for our lunch, which was reasonably priced. We agree that the service was good, and the starter was OK - who can make a mistake with beetroot salad? However, the main course - Mousaka was cold and the cheese on top was like cardboard. Then we had what was essentially a fairly creamy yoghurt ( Sorry I have forgotten what it was called in French) with fruit coulis - this was just a fruit syrup similar to that you squeeze from a plastic bottle! Then we had coffee which it said was included in the price but because I had some milk and my partner had an americano, we were charged extra with no warning. I found he room a little stark but there were not many people in that day. No...
