Ballingdon Valley Indian Cuisine

No wonder it gets good reviews. Everything was top quality. Food, service, efficient friendly staff, cleanliness, big choice. Very happy with everything.

Had a lovely meal from here on New Years Day collected at 2.15pm. Food delicious only criticism was that the naan bread and paratha were cold had to reheat them in the oven.

Food very average but onion bhajis burnt to a frazzle. Mentioned this gently to the waiter who was not overly interested and I was surprised to see that they were not removed from the bill. The table was not cleaned when the main course was removed. We won’t be back.

We had a mid week takeay from Ballingdon Valley. The food was delicious and the staff were really helpful and accomodating. They even created a special salmon dish for me that was not on the menus, and catered to veggie needs which was much aprpeciated. Would highly reccomend, a Sudbury favourite!

When friends were over from France, we decided to treat them to a great curry experience. My wife and I had not eaten here for over a year. We were very pleased that both food and service were excellent. If you are in the area looking for exceptional Bangladeshi food, then you could not find anywhere better than Ballingdon Valley.

Poor, Poor. Poor on every level. Food was mediocre at best and service was off hand (despite what the website says). Noisy with the absolute maximum number of people crammed in. Someone needs to take a long look at how the restaurant is being operated and the standard of food they are serving. This is not one we will be trying again.

My partner and myself had the pleasure of eating an evening meal at this superb restaurant a few days ago, from the warm and friendly welcome to the polite good bye's the whole experience could not have been more pleasant, the establishment is decorated to a very high standard and scrupulously clean throughout. The comprehensive menu and extensive wine list were both reasonably priced. Our food was served without delay and could only be described as memorable, and the helpful, friendly staff deserved praise. We both enjoyed our evening and can't wait to enjoy the culinary delights again next time we are in town. Thank You. John and Polly.

I had really enjoyed my take-away meal from Ballingdon last year. When the opportunity arose recently to visit for dinner, my expectations were high. Do not be put off by the buildings lack of kerb appeal. Once inside, you have a warm and welcoming restaurant, nicely furnished with well spaced tables. The staff were very friendly and attentive. As for the food, well it was exceptional. The menu contains all the standard favourites and some I have never come across before. All our dishes were packed with flavour and tasted freshly made. We arrived here by chance as we'd stayed in Sudbury previously and most of the pubs finish serving food early. On entering the premises, we were greeted by a happy smile. I explained that we didn't have a reservation and we were taken to a seat while the bookings were checked. I think the manager must have had a little bit of a sense of humour, as we were shown to a table, where he told us that due to the weather, (this was storm Babet), the restaurant had had 54 reservations cancelled, so there was plenty of room for us.
