"If you are looking for a place to enjoy homemade food and a cozy atmosphere in the heart of the Sierra Calderona, the Bar Restaurant Descanso Serra is the perfect place. After a good walk around, this restaurant is like finding a small oasis. The first thing that surprises you is the attention. The staff is friendly, close and always with a smile, making you feel at home. The menu is not extensive, but everything they have is of quality. The star dishes, without a doubt, are the paella and the entrecôte, but the sandwiches also have their own charm. All prepared with that homemade touch that is hard to find nowadays. In addition, they have a perfect terrace to enjoy the surroundings while you eat or have a drink. And let's not talk about the desserts: a real delight! I recommend the homemade flan, it shows that it is made with love. It is the ideal place for a stop in the middle of your hiking route or simply to get away to disconnect for a while. Without unnecessary luxuries, but with everything essential to enjoy. A place you will surely want to return to."

Average place in good surroundings, and the food is not bad. We ate a good paella although it lacked rest or had plenty of broth, and patatas bravas that weren't bad. Un sitio sencillo pero bien atendido y con platos con muy buen gusto. La paella de pollo y conejo con muchísima verdura y con alcachofas verdaderamente extraordinaria, de 9,75. Buenos entrantes de toda la vida pero buenos, muy buenos. Esgarraet con mojama y bacalao inglés, expectacular. Sepia plancha buena y bravas buenas. Buenos postres y variados. Food: 5

Siempre, cuando acudimos a zonas de interior, con tradición en sus carnes y embutidos, así como en su modo de hacerlas, casi siempre a la brasa, esperamos ese plus especial del que lo hace, donde nos harán degustar de un magnífico producto hecho de la mejor manera. Pues eso no ha ocurrido aquí. A pesar de que comimos bien, ni el producto, embutido y secreto, ni su presentación, patatas fritas y verduras, ni siquiera el estar hecho a la brasa, nos hicieron disfrutar. Un producto normal, embutidos escasos y de calidad normal, y un secreto poco hecho y con poca gracia, como un pan de pueblo “flojete” mostraron la peor cara de este establecimiento.
