Fabulous food every time at Barbican Kitchen. We went this evening for my daughters birthday, I love this place, food is fabulous, staff are very friendly, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

It’s always a special treat to eat at The Barbican Kitchen when we visit Plymouth. Last night was no exception. The hake was perfectly cooked and the creme brûlée was absolutely delicious. The service is always wonderful.

No need to go hunting for a restaurant, the Barbican is stunning and the Barbican Kitchen is simply superb. Great food, fantastic service in a wonderful building with a cocktail bar upstairs. It doesn't get better than this!

A great restaurant with high quality food and good service. A small menu which appears to be quite ordinary, however, the food is cooked perfectly with high quality ingredients. A very pleasant setting which made for a relaxing meal. The staff are pleasant and provide very good service. A place we will return to.

I'm sat here writing this and as much as the food is amazing and tasty there is one person that sets this place apart from anywhere else. John is the most amazing waiting staff I've ever had the privilege to meet. He is passionate,excited about the product he sells and quite clearly loves his job. Tanner brothers you did well employing this guy. 5 stars all the way

We visited on a Tuesday evening prior to our ferry crossing the next day. The last time for reservations is 9pm. we arrived at 8.45pm and the waitress had to check with the chef if they were still serving. So, off to a poor start, but all approved by the chef, we were seated. I opted for the fish and chips, and my husband had the pork plate (medalions and pork belly). Both were delicious and good portion sizes. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Came here on Saturday night as a table of four. The food lacked flavour. I appreciate the restaurant was busy but this has never stopped me enjoying the food in previous visits. The mains arrived before the starter plates had been removed, the food, especially the cauliflower soup, was bland and lacked seasoning. My Husband left most of his calves liver which in previous visits he had really enjoyed. Such a shame to write this as it’s a family favourite go to restaurant

We visited the restaurant for my friend Jill's birthday. We sat at a long table meeting new friends and eating enjoyable food. I dived into the lemon and pea risotto with feta. The restaurant were happy for us to bring along Jill's birthday cake. They provided candles and had the whole restaurant singing Happy Birthday which was so special. Lovely setting above the Plymouth Gin Distillery in the Barbican area of the town. Food was great. The decor was stunning! The servers were very attentive and friendly. Would go back again!! Ps it is upstairs but there is a lift!! Hurray!!

I booked a birthday dinner for my husband's 65th. Our daughter came along too. As always, the service was exemplary as was the exquisite food. My only gripe was the need for the table of five sat next to us, arriving halfway through our starters, to make so much noise. The gentle hum of conversation was immediately drowned out with extraordinarily loud voices and great laughter. Not a care in the world, and oblivious to to discord they were creating around them, they were served (whilst we were there) 5 bottles of wine. The guffaw was only going increase. A slight mix-up with our main rectified eventually due to nobody being able to hear each other. My daughter eventually received a birthday...
