"Quite a nice pub, but very few vegan options. Soup of the day with roll is a vegan starter. I had the vegan chilli cheese burger with sweet potato fries it was okay, a bit bland. My daughters onion rings, also vegan were very chunky. Nice. Coffee was okay I think there was milk alternatives beers were okay, but no selection of nice IPAs. Probably wouldn’t go again for food. There is a vegan dedicated cafe up there high street that I wanted to try but it’s only open Wednesday Saturday."

Really good menu options for gluten free! I had a Caesar salad and it was super tasty!

There was only one vegan option: a burger. Tasted good. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Limited choice but the burger was really good. The very few vegan options they had were well thought out and not just a token dish

Delicious options. I had cauliflower wings as a starter, a chili cheeseburger with sweet potatoes as a main, and a chocolate truffle brownie with cream as a desert.

Beautiful vegan selection, overall but tasteful, though ok, but not surprising. Unfortunately, the place is completely crowded, long waiting time to get a table and we waited an hour for the food.

I had not expected my favorite meal to come from a place like this, but the vegetables Wellington on their festive menu for Christmas was perfect and absolutely delicious! Perfect setting for a perfect meal.

Seem to have improved amount of options since last reviews were written. I had the cauliflower wings to start and then the burger. Both were tasty. Also had the option of vegan bangers and mash. Nice relaxing atmosphere, good beer and friendly staff.

Nice ambience. Few vegan options, just a burger and maybe the curry. I had the burger who was 2 beyond meat burgers, vegan cheese and vegan bacon. Delicious! Fritten and vegan Mayo. Friendly service. Note: The onion rings were not listed as vegan. Reservations are recommended. Updated by previous rating on 2023-04-08

"Thought the food was good. Busy Saturday afternoon but they made room for us. This is a Pub and a restaurant, and a little bit sports bar. Everyone was very mellow and we received good service. I tried a toastie, a toasted bread with fresh cut onions and tomatoes. Did not include any sauces but there were packets of mayo, ketchup, brown sauce and tarter at the table. Included a site of greens, undressed, and what seemed to be homemade potato chips .Husband had traditional fish and chips, which were well cooked. The fish is always here one very large battered fish, fried. All was tasty. He enjoyed the local beer as he was driving and didn 't want anything stronger. The big win was the sticky toffee pudding, with two spoons. Waitress asked if we wanted a side of ice cream, whipped cream or custard. Couldn 't decide she said, I 'll bring all three . I didn 't know what this was really but it looked like a round chocolate cake, but it wasn 't. Forks dipped into the toffee sauce on the bottle of the plate and a mouthful of heaven came our way. Add the ice cream and the whipped cream just added more pleasure. The custard came in a little metal cup, like for measuring. The warm vanilla custard was a sauce, so not so thick. Delicious! Hate to say, two people could not finish this dessert. Not for size, but it was so rich. Always try the foods of the country you are visiting. Usually staples for a reason. Sorry no photo. Try these dishes yourself."
