"We've been to Bibis often over the years. Our most recent visit was really disappointing. We arrived a little early, probably 8 mins or so and we're told they weren't ready for us (the restaurant was half full) and directed to wait outside in the cold. The table we sat at had a view right into the kitchen. The chefs spoke loudly the whole time we were there including a discussion about a bleeding wound that required stitches! Not what you want to hear while eating your meal. Our drinks were warm and the margaritas are not what they used to be. The waitress leaned over our table to light candles on a shelf above us while we were eating our main course. It was very awkward. The waitress and chef had a disagreement about who was passing by the tables in the very small space. Again very awkward right beside our table. The food was bland and far from the flavoursome Mexican tastes we'd experienced at Bibis in the past. No guacamole, tortilla chips or salsa with any courses. Every single plate that arrived had a handful of rocket on the plate as the side. The chicken in the chicken quesadillas was hard to find. The fish tacos had no flavour and the smallest piece of fish in each. It was so disappointing. Unfortunately, we won't be back."

This is our favorite restaurant in Glasgow and hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town. You won't be disappointed. It's a cozy, intimate setting with a welcoming staff.

Atmosphere and service are incredible at Bibi’s. Really lovely place. Unfortunately the food was not quite as good as expected from all the hype we’d heard. It was good, but not brilliant and more tex-mex and less authentic. Still tasted great.

Good food and drinks, although slightly spoiled by the older waitress loudly asking another member of staff to count the cash we paid for the bill. Then proceeded to ask in an even louder tone if we'd like our 5p change back, despite the fact the bill already had a service charge added on. What is it you're looking for, a tip on top of tip?

Used to absolutely love this place. Not any more. Food was terrible. Chef looked filthy. I don’t know if it’s new owners or what but everything that was great about this place has sadly gone, from the nice vibes, friendly service, food which felt quite authentically Mexican. Now just replaced with food that’s on a par with Mexican microwave meals you would get from the supermarket. This is the second time we’ve had this experience here. The first time we decided just to write it off as a bad day, since we used to love it so much, but second time was worse than the first. Sad demise.
