"for a restaurant evaluation, the food should be at the centre and not the ambiente. Therefore I can only give a defect.Because the brot that had been given before came without any mojo or olive oil, let alone olive. the beer is clearly more expensive compared to many bamberger guesthouses with € 3.50 per 0.4l. The tapas "patatas bravas" ordered by us, a chicken spear as well as the baked champions (these also only lukewarm) were just moderate, the "pollo picanto" was a sweat. with Spanish food has nothing to do with it and the prices for it are unharmed. the size of the restaurant would have had to make us stubborn, because this is actually a good quality. the great ambiente des bolero should probably deceive over the lean quality of eating. but we did not succeed."

This was an enjoyable place to sample Spanish food - especially if you needed a break from German food.Lots of vegetable options. Excellent drinks.

The waitress who helped us spoke some English and was even willing to help with some word pronunciations. The food was very good, appetizer portions were small but the meals were big. All the food was reasonably priced. Had a wonderful and relaxing meal.

we just went to the Bolero for dinner and the food was OUTSTANDING, Service also was great. we ate outside because the restarant was FREEZING, they had that AC on that it felt i was in Alaska, we couldnt even stay for the entertainment. we went a 2nd day and again had to leave. but will go back for the food and eat outside. it seems that in the kitchen everything is quite fast, but not so loving. tapas: sharp chicken wings come with a kind of ketchup, baby inkfish are too long in the frituse, taste only after panade and the roasting of the offered roasted brotes to aioli has already been forgotten twice. please give more effort! cocktails etc. very good!

I celebrated my birthday in the bolero. already during preparation I was thrilled how professional the Bolero team has approached the thing and supported me. at the party itself, it didn't miss anything. a great selection of very delicious foods and drinks was completed by the perfect all-round service of the Bolero team. you noticed to each individual employee that he is located in the fact that the guests feel comfortable.Great compliment and very warm DANKE!I like to come back and enjoy the beautiful garden with the tasty tapas and a glass wine... :-))))

"We were a group of English guys staying in Bamberg for a weekend of beer, sightseeing & more beer. Bamberg is, of course, the centre of the universe for fans of beer & brewing culture. One of our group found Cafe Abseits on the internet & it was possibly the best find of the weekend. I contacted the proprietor prior to our arrival to warn him of a group of 14 men in need of a hearty breakfast & some local "where to go" info. When we arrived, tables were reserved for us & we were warmly greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell us about the wonderful beer brewing heritage of Bamberg. We were served up a fantastic breakfast - the emphasis was on hearty portions rather than gourmet presentation, but we were all, without exception, greatly impressed by the quality & size of the meal. In addition to the great breakfast, Cafe Abseits has an impressive beer list, focusing mainly on local produce. We were treated to much inside knowledge from the proprietor during our ordering of beer. A man with an obvious passion for his product ! To cap it off, we were offered a sample beer, on the house, of a special beer brewed by a local independant brewer using hops grown by a local farmer. The owner didn't need to spend so much time with this level of personal attention, but he did & we were all blown away by our visit there. It's tucked away a bit, on the wrong side of the train station for most tourists making their way into town. But that only added to it's charm. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in beer who is visiting this amazing town for the weekend. I could not fault this place & will remain indebted to the owner for such a warm welcome to Bamberg."
