"Nicely located, overlooking the Trieux river, just a short walk from the cathedral this is a good place for lunch or evening meal. Always welcoming, the menu selection has a good range of fish meat or vegetarian dishes with a changing lunchtime menu. I like...the modern feel of the place which was once an old stone building, tastefully transformed into a light and airy place to eat and relax. This place scores highly on the aesthetic side of eating which to me has great importance. Food is always perfectly presented without it pretentiously looking like it has prepared by Picasso or chucked on the plate by an angry and overworked chef. Sometimes they have the shellfish Ormeau. which if you like scallops, I would highly recommend. The place can be very busy at lunchtime with many people having business lunches so go early to avoid waiting. In fact my only criticism is that service can be slow if it is already busy and you turn up after for lunch. When in France, as I have said before, to get the best service and the plat du jour go early as you can. This is not a consumer led country, you have to fit in with them!"

Warmly welcomed and the food was nicely prepared. Two of us just had the main course small steal and chips and house wine and it came to euros. I felt it was rather overpriced for mid day.

the restaurant has a large window on the small river, with a romantic and idyllic view: these are the sixty percent of the value. eating in the average, cafe-gourmand try and since in guingamp there are no many restaurants, this is a good option anyway.

Food was nice and appropriately priced for a brasserie. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble . We had children with us and they were very well catered for (crayon and paper to draw, sweets and a small toy)....We will go back as we really had a great time and I know my brother will too.

extremely annoyed with this place. I never write in the regular critiken, but I had to make the people aware that this place not only the smallest cuddles in the city, but they gave me and my wife food poisoning. they feel terrible and will fight to. to enjoy the rest of our holiday with our children. Don't risk it. Stay away! View menu

An atractive setting just off the town centre overlooking the river. The terrace must be popular of a warm evening at weekends. Tastefully furnished in a purposeful manner. The staff are charming and anxious to please without being intrusive. Reasonable fixed price menus are matched...by sensibly priced wines. Nothing outstanding on the menu but nobody was disappointed.

it always looks promising from outside. eating is not cheap, but the live jazz music was too loud, we couldn't hear each other talking. the burger was ok, the frites were limp, greasy and from old black kartoffels, the small green salat leaves. were over at their best. we are not uneasy people and we usually do not leave any reviews, but we will not recommend here and we will not return.

This lovely restaurant is a little hard to find, especially at night. Our food was delicious and the setting very nice and upscale. Such a shame we were not there in the daylight to enjoy the view of the river. I had pork and my...husband had fish. Both came in small, cast iron crocks. It was a slow night for them – just us and one other table. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive. A wonderful meal. View menu

We came for a Plat du Jour on a Saturday lunchtime. The place was busy..ish. My husband had the starter and main and I just ordered a main. His starter took minutes to arrive. The mains, hour twenty after we arrived. the food...was utterly underwhelming. One main was a chicken leg and a spud...that's all. When we complained they gave us the drinks for free and said too many people arrived at the same time. Disappointing in the extreme.

the Sunday dinner in l’o was just terrible. I was deprived of the day starter, who consisted of a very hard piece toast with a single striped cheese that was broken with a few lardons. I then ordered the Otopen Jaune with a blood orange sauce. what a catastrophe. frozen fish that was served cold, dry and unusable. I sent it back and was offered a burger instead. this also turned out cold, the frits cold and inedible with a few limp lettuce leaves. I sent this back, it was really terrible. for a couple was the bill euos, including a half bottle of wine. no discount or apologise for the terrible eating time to get a new cook, I think he can't cook, or keep food warm until it is served. I'll ne...

"We were invited to join a birthday dinner, making a first time visit for us. Our French hosts were consulted for the writing of this review. They were far more disappointed than us, as they initiated the evening and, for us, the compensation of their good company more than made up for the description with follows. The ambience and position of the resto is great. The tables were laid with paper tablecloths and the napkins were paper. We all plumped for the Le Menu Plaisir at € 36. The dishes were nicely thought out and I skip fine details as we all had something different. The common factor was that all the plates were cold and the food was tepid at best. An 'à point ' steak arrived 'saignant/bleu ' and had to go back and we all waited for it, so that we could eat together our food cooling even more. It was a shame really, as, if piping hot, the meals would have been really good, as it was, they gave an impression of how good they could have been. Why didn 't we complain and demand replacements? First, we were guests and it was not our place and in the post mortem with our friends, they thought that we were happy and didn 't want to sour the evening by complaining themselves. Only yesterday evening did we compare notes and find that we were all equally unhappy! Just one extra note: the wines were not as unreasonably priced as usual for Brittany restos, they were well chosen and the temperatures were right. Full marks for that. So, if they can only get their act together on hot dishes served on hot plates, things will be so much better. I am going to send them a copy of this review and suggest they could do something about it."
