"We spent the weekend in Masham and decided to have lunch at The Bruce Arms. It’s a fantastic pub with a great atmosphere and creative cuisine. My wife and I both ordered the steak pie with chips, and it was the best pie we've ever had! The chips were also delicious. While the food might take a little while to arrive, they were quite busy, and everything is made fresh. We live an hour and 40 minutes away, but we will definitely return to The Bruce Arms for the steak pie alone."

Absolutely brilliant, staff food, service outstanding. A brilliant pint, so good we haven't even spent time in any other pub in Masham. And the pie first-class can't remember having a better pie in years.

This pub is fantastic! The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they are also dog-friendly. The food is excellent and truly authentic. Without a doubt, it's the best pub in town, and I highly recommend it!

Friendly and efficient staff. Been here before to eat a few years ago and the food was good. Nice selection of Black Sheep beers and ales as well as other favourites. Cosy seating inside and a few tables outside too. Overall a good experience. Dog friendly and gluten free options too.

Nice lad behind bar, decent mix of ales at regular prices and a smashing interior with a great set of cosy nooks and family tables. We didn’t have time to eat but the diners I noted were enjoying their food and it certainly smelled great. Lovely pub with an enormous well facilitated beer garden. Just had a weekend in Masham, we loved this pub so much we didn't even try any others, ourselves and our 2 dogs were made to feel so welcome, we had the fish and chips on Friday, fish was huge and delicious, the chips were by far the best we've ever had. Popped in a few times over the rest of the weekend and had Sunday lunch, lovely. Thanks to the whole team for making our weekend a great one.

The food was lukewarm and didn't have that homemade touch. The worst part was the service; the server approached us twice to see if we were done, despite it being obvious that we weren't. The second time, they even asked if they could pack up my uneaten meal, even though I only had a single chip and a piece of scampi left on my plate. If they wanted us to leave, they could have simply asked. I can't recommend this place and will not be returning. Price per person: £20–30.

"all those people who leave 1 star (or low star reviews) have either extremely high expectations or just have to be out to harm the call of a gem of a sandwich shop. I stopped yesterday, was late for lunch to my surprise and joy that they were still open, was a waiting queue to eat, so I might have been happy that they thought they would do 1 more order. I had the cheese-cutney sandwich couldn't resist the Scotch egg with black pudding. the Scotch egg was phenomenal, black pudding mixed with the sausage meat, a soft egg yolk practically still runny, which I really did not expect to add only to the already large aromene, the egg comes with a small pot homemade brown sauce (ketchup is an option, but I prefer brown soße) also the soße is a normal but it is a manifestation, it is a the sandwich was ineffective, thick-cut cheese on a homemade roll with homemade chutney (I suppose when everything else was made home) filled with fresh salad, I am curious what the difference between this is the ploughman’s, as it was in the round a ploughmans sandwich. the brot, cheese salad were all fresh taste amazing, the chutney transformed it, was like a cross between chutney salsa like the brown sauce was more sweet without much flavor, but really a great amount taste to what was possibly the best sandwich I had ever had! well made youngs, eating is great a try worth. reasonably also consider that it is the center of harrogate."
