"we made a trip to Saint-Marine (not much there,) but the children were hungry and we found this caffe. we sat in there as everyone was out on the terrace. the children ordered a ham sandwich 6.50)....easily a baguette each! A favourite place for a drink and lunch. came across on the little ferry from Benodet which was better than driving round the coast. Good service and delicious food.

This is simply the prettiest cafe I've ever visited; directly overlooking the beautiful harbour of Sainte Marine in Finistere, Brittany, with a view of Benodet across the Odet river. The food is fresh, beautifully cooked and served by charming staff. View menu

What a wonderful restaurant with a fabulous location on the quiet harbour-side. It’s menu contains the most amazing meat and cheese boards served with style. I can see the reason why this place is extremely busy. I had the Brittany meats selection it was delightful.

Visited very many times within a week as this was within walking distance from our holiday house. Never disappointed. The views from the little outdoor tables are delightful. Good coffee and cakes or tapas style food eg planks of cheeses. It was always busy but...with a quiet vibe. View menu

Went for lobster lunch at another restaurant but was closing for afternoon However we had a lovely lunch at Cafe de la cale. We ordered a cheese plate and charcuterie plate as well as 6 oysters and wine. Wow how much cheese, we did...not expect so much. In my opinion it was far superior to the meat plate as good as it was. Especially liked the Mont Briac. They oysters were a decent size and tasted so sweet. €90 including a good tip. Seemed worth every cent

immersed on the off chance for midday weather was mild and they found us a sunny table outside with magnificent view over the harbour in direction benodet. the menu is very simple and has a lot of lightly oriented, sandwiches and salads: all beautiful...prepared and very tasty. short wine drink list, but sufficient for most palate and to fit with eating. service was also prompt and friendly the bill came over £100 for four people including service and 2 bottles of wine. only a little bit more than a couple on the next table ziggies after finishing their food was a little irritating, but I guess we expected it! overall a very pleasant light lunch and we would definitely return.
