"We queued up for the 7.15pm opening hoping to get a table (really recommend you book and maybe choose a table you fancy?) We had eaten breakfast here and fancied coming back as that was tasty enough. The staff can seem a bit offish but it just seems to be their style, our waiter was just very efficient without wanting a lot of eye contact/chat it suited us. Starters were snails and the most amazing gravlax salmon with fresh ginger on a bed of something like meshed nutty seedlings as they say 'a taste sensation' Main, linguine with huge prawns and toasted crunch crumb topping and tender steak/chips/salad/Gorgonzola dip. Desert a fruit salad with so many different fruits and cream topped with dried raspberries and chocolate fondant with ice cream and a hazelnut snap wafer. We just oohed and aahed all the way through. Delicious!"

A beef steak well done is something difficult in France. They have done it! Despite the crowd, the service was fast.

Good lunchtime venue to watch the busy ambiance outside. Good food selection with many interesting menu options. Book if you can as it (deservedly) gets very busy.

We went here with a large group, 25 adults and children, and I am in awe of the waiter who handled our table! The food was great, the kids challenged themselves with escargots, and the ambiance was absolutely perfect! We will definately be back!

Visited here after reading previous reviews and as it was close to the market. The staff were very friendly and we had a lovely breakfast.....I had the yogurt and muesli, the muesli came in a massive jar so I could help myself and our tea came with a pot of hot water so you got more than one cup.....both lovely touches.....would definitely go again View menu

Large restaurant, but it quickly filled up this evening. Vi got an inside table, at the window, open to the outside, ideal to watch all the commotion around us. Foodwise, a well-assorted a la carte and some interesting daily specials; we had snails, duck breast and pasta with prawns, all to our liking. A good pomerol accompanied (nice to be in a country with only 2x markup to retail prices) and perfect service from the waiters.

All the staff were, as expected exceptionally professional, friendly, helpful. We were seated although we did not have a booking, in the bay window overlooking the Rue Des Halles/ Rue Gambetta. Lovely atmosphere, time your visit carefully and you WILL get a table...My husband and son opted for the cote de boeuf for two, it was huge...a meat fest with marrow on the bone the works. I chose the marinated tuna steak (sesame seed, ginger, soya) pureed root vegetables, my daughter opted for a fillet of white fish with frites. We shared a starter of chipirones, a good portion. I found the marinade a tad over powering, but I usually prefer my tuna plain with a good salad so no fault of theirs. It was...

"We had only one night to enjoy Biarritz. Our research led us to dine at Le O2 Verdun. It was the perfect choice. Francois took care of us all evening. He was both charming and perfectly attentive. He thoughtfully helped us chose our dishes (there were a couple of additions to the prixe fix menu) and Francois helped describe each dish to us because our French is not so good! The chef/owner is so incredibly talented! This is a Michelin star quality restaurant but it is inexpensive. Don’t let the low fool you! The quality of the dishes and their ingredients was exceptional! Every morsel of every dish was amazing, from the bon bons filled with local cheese and ham that melted in your mouth to the homemade foi gras, to the cod with peppers and spices that were so subtle but perfect, to the calamari special in a garlic sauce that was divine! Their chocolate fondue and brioche French toast were delicious! We were stuffed! All of that deliciousness for less than 60 Euros, 29.90 each! Of course, we paired it all with a variety of white and red wines. Francois was kind enough to help us as we chose each glass to pair with the food. Their wine list was not very extensive, but there were plenty of good choices at more than reasonable prices, both by the glass and by the bottle. If you have one night free in Biarritz, you MUST try this restaurant! You will be so happy you did!"
