Fontaine - Menu

We booked a table here for the St Valentine, hoping to have a nice romantic meal. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful, but we were crammed into a room that was hot and noisy. It would have been perfect if there were a less tables and they were more spaced out.

Merveilleuse soirée au cafe Fontaine ambiance très sympathique malgré une coupure d'EDFcause météo. Parronne hyper agréable j'avais l'impression d'être chez moi et cuisine divine.Le chef fait d'une simple salade composée une merveille. Je retournerais souvent. Merci pour ce repas aux chandelles

This little restaurant might be a bit out of hand but it is a very nice find. Mainly meat and the unmissable filets de perche, with great presentation and taste. The entrecôte is not massive but the meat is tender and juicy with a great taste. Sweets are also worth the wait, with great presentation. Definitely worth a visit View menu

This place is magical the food is delicious 2nd time for us the foie gras is exceptional there is a lot of love in all these dishes a big thank you the service is perfect even their breads are delicious being in the business it is almost a dream to work alongside such a good chef, thank you again Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

C'est toujours un petit bonheur de venir dans ce restaurant de la campagne genevoise. Dans le cadre maintenu d'un vieux café, on y sert une nourriture fine et inventive à base notamment de produits régionaux, ceci grâce au talent du chef et de son équipe. La gentillesse et le sourire de la serveuse contribuent aussi à ces beaux moments.La minute de thon et son sorbet de poivrons... un délice.

J'ai réserve dans ce restaurant pour y avoir été du temps de l'ancienne gérance , et je suis très content de l'avoir fait . À chaque visite de ces amis je suis chargé de réserver un restaurant ou nous allons manger le soir après le travail et cette fois mon choix s'est arrêté ici . Tout a été parfait . Cela fait bien longtemps que je n'ai pas aussi bien mange dans un restaurant genevois , les plats étaient copieux et les mets de qualité , et le personnel très sympathique . Back at Café Fontaine, this time for lunch. It was a quiet Saturday afternoon and the terrace provided a cool retreat at the hottest time of the day. The lunch evolved at a nice speed, and the chef came out various times to chat with his guests. The food was superb, all fresh, original and well prepared. The amuse was a refreshing melon soup with a small smoked duck breast brochet. We then went through an refreshing octopus salad, veal steak tartare with olive oil, seared tuna with a delicious paprika sorbet, and ended with foursome desserts: four sorbets and four crèmes brulées. Compliments to the chef, it was another culinary adventure in Soral.

Another thematic culinary evening at Café Fontaine, and another sensational menu. The autumn menu to celebrate the start of the season. A low key amuse of lentils with smoked pheasant set the tone. Next a variation on foie gras, with caramelized grape, and then for me the highlight: scallops in a creamy pumpkin risotto. We refreshed our palates with a sorbet of moût and then went on to serious business: la chasse , a delicious venison with all the tradition al accompaniments. Dessert was so good I forgot to take a picture altogether a wonderful evening out in the pittoresque village of Soral. Now: is CHF176 for all this and a good bottle of wine midrange or fine dining????

Alors qu'une réservation avait été faite par un ami, je me suis vu désigner une table. J'ai de suite demandé à changer d'emplacement, ce qui fut fait sans hésitation par la serveuse. Nous avons ensuite, à l'arrivée de cet ami, pris l'apéritif et avons pris le temps de discuter avant de passer commande. Après un bon moment, nous avons enfin commencé notre déjeuner. Le tout s'est donc enchainé fut avec calme et sérénité. C'est un vrai plaisir que de ne pas être mis sous pression par la serveuse ou le chef aux fourneaux. Le repas fut très bon et très bien présenté. La viande de bonne qualité. Rien à redire de cette cuisine pour une première. La salle est petite et il est certainement préférable... View menu
