"two of us went to the breakfast in berlin during a four-day visit from our home in northern Germany. ordered a hot chocolate and an breakfast. hot choc arrived on time and was very tasty. we slowly sipted in hoping to lift some of our drinks for the arrival of our meal. both have eaten our hot chocs and waited longer. no trace of meal. people who came after us were served before us. the waitress noticed that we looked excited and came to us to say that the kitchen was under pressure due to the number of guests in the restaurant (maybe a third full) eating still did not come. waited a little longer, still no sign, so asked about the bill for the hot chocolate. the waitress ran into the kitchen and said that our meals would be served next. at this time it was too late – we had enough. we paid and went. the worst thing was that the only part of our meal that had to be cooked was a boiled egg to the breakfast of my partner. everything else would have been served cold: cold cut, cheese, bread etc. no excuse for the slow service - seemed to be a normal day for them. a man who seemed to be the manager sat all the time with paperwork and a cup coffee in the restaurant - did nothing to improve the situation. we finally went to kfc, as we had waited so long that it was now midday. to avoid a complete waste of a morning. but beautiful hot chocolate."

Good burger and nice environment. However, didn't have beer on tap (something wasn't working) and felt a bit forgotten by waitress

I liked the quiet atmosphere when I was there in the morning. the design is retro, with some details for painting. the menu was in order. the breakfast was regular. the service was polite, but very slow. Not good for those who have it in a hurry to go to work or are tourist and have no time to waste ... and the caffe was. far from being full.

I have been here for many years and likes the old West Berlinian atmosphere very - large, spacious, loud and crisp wooden chairs. it has a student feeling. but I was recently with friends there and ordered food and was really disappointed - very heavy and tasteless. the hamburger was like a cardboard and the bratkartoffel pan tasted just like a pan with overcooked potatoes. Nevertheless we had a nice evening and enjoyed the lübzer pils, which is served there at a reasonable price.

we were looking for a typical berlin caffe and that fits every case. beautiful relaxed atmosphere. something inhabited, but this only contributes to the charm. good beer and delicious food. friendly staff and many locals. the type of place where you can entertain yourself for a afternoon with one or two glasses. it seemed family-friendly and if we had been here for longer, we could have seen each other come back. a great berliner caffe that serves a beautiful, inexpensive and high quality food and offers a warm, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. if they are looking for a local café atmosphere, I would recommend this top tavern. they will not be disappointed.
