"We’ve just moved to Velez Rubio 3 months ago, and had so many people advise to eat here that we tried it out......and have kept coming back! My favourite is the Hambourgesa Chilli, and my husband loves the pizzas. As we’ve been eating out at the end of a day decorating or opening boxes, we haven’t been too adventurous but the menu is varied and we look forward to working our way through the list! We eat outside as we take our little dog with us, and she gets more fuss than we do, with a bowl of water served up for her with a smile! The service is great, and as we are sitting outside under an awning near the bandstand, we can watch the children play and the world go by.....great place for atmosphere, and great food and service!"

"my first experience at an assador, a typical restaurant in Spain for its high quality grilled meat. I drove from alicante to granada and saw the outside door open. the city is velez rubio, with a beautiful catedral called incarnation, the assador espadin served the best meat I had in Europe. taste, presentation, quality, quality of the waiter, delicious wine. it almost stopped me in my trip to alicante. the price is appropriate for the high standard of the place. I loved it!"

"Bar-restaurant very well located in the pretty village of Velez-Rubio, with the church and the town square right in front. Unfortunately, the waiters took a long time to serve us (about 20 minutes), while they were preparing the empty tables around us. We tried to get their attention, but they wouldn't look at us. Of course, the food is very rich. We ordered salmorejo, mussels in cider sauce, Russian salad and scrambled eggs with foie. Prepared and tasty. The prices seemed a bit high. To pay we also had some difficulties for the waiters to see us. I imagine they are saturated, but that shouldn't affect customer service."

"Elegimos para cenar por nuestro aniversario La Ribera en nuestra escapada rural por la zona y ha sido todo un acierto. La comida ha estado espectacular, producto de primera y cocina muy bien cuidada. Pedimos el pulpo y el chuletón, bajo recomendación. El pulpo estaba muy tierno y sabroso, lo sirven aromatizado con romero en mesa para una experiencia única. La carne procedente de Vejer de la frontera, famosa por su carne de vacuno, muy tierna y sabores intensos. Además nos invitaron a una cata de brownie casero y un licor de café estilo mistela de elaboración propia también. Todo perfecto, no se puede pedir nada más para una experiencia espectacular como la que hemos tenido."

"extraordinary experience, we have eaten phenomenal. The goat's rule salad was exquisite. We've also taken a great goat and a sleek, tasty piece of belly. from dessert, I recommend orange to orange, light and original, do not miss it. but the best are marcelino and laya, close and charming, how nice it is to land on a site for the first time and that they welcome you with so much attention and kindness! we will certainly come back, and we take a very pleasant memory of this experience."
