Great place to visit with the dog. There were treats on the bar and even some balls to play with. You're made to feel very welcome unlike at the next pub along the High Street, Wetherspoons!!

had a great time here. Thursday evening for the quiz. great drink palette to great praise and just a lot of fun! Bar staff and manager were really friendly and talked to all customers who came into the bar. would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for somewhere in gainsborough to relax with friends and have some fun.

3 of us and a dog were looking for lunch, this was the first place to welcome us all! Genuinely friendly staff, and a clientele to match, we ordered from the '2 for ' menu, steak and ale pie, and chicken pie, and Mac and cheese from the main menu, drinks and paid at the bar. The service was swift and the food was excellent. Thank you the Canute, we 'll be back!
