"Always loved the Cardross Inn. But on this occasions the food was OK, nothing special... and unfortunately the service was really quite poor. One of our main courses was missed, which arrived once the rest of us had almost finished but this wasn't communicated till we went up to the bar to ask where it was. No offer of more drinks or desserts and we had to go up to the bar to ask for the bill. Considering it was a Sunday afternoon/early evening and it wasn't busy, I'm surprised by the lack of customer service. We were celebrating two birthdays, so the last thing we wanted to do that evening was complain we paid the bill, left continued celebrations elsewhere. Disappointing visit now I'm unsure if it'll be the preferred place to go for meals out now."

Table for 10. Service was excellent. Food was lovely, lots of choices and was served piping hot. Would recommend. Table was booked for 1.15 and was ready for us when we arrived.

Had meal in Cardross Inn with family. The food was nice and tasty. Price wise it was average. The only downside to our visit was the service was a bit slow considering it wasn’t too busy and also a bit chilly could do with some more heating on.

Pre- Christmas lunch did not go as planned! Started off with a drink dropped onto me, the wrong starter brought and the beetroot vegetarian dish poor! We did mention this but still paid full price ! Meals a bit pricey for what you get.... Nice surroundings, good atmosphere and service ok but left disappointed
