"we like to eat there, but we are aware that their service and quality are not always consistent. last night was one of those days. first I must say that if they want to go there, make reservations and insist that they want to sit in the restaurant in the ground floor. service and atmoshphere are terrible at the top floor. I'd just look at the top floor for bigger events. we sit several times in the run of the years up and service was always bad. they have a beautiful sitting area in the free, which is highly recommended for good weather. do not count on their salvation, which is correct. we had two incidents where we had reserved ourselves for the ground floor and had to sit up. my favourite dish is the spaghetti with scampi, which is served in a large Parmesan cheese. the cheese is scraped, spaghetti is served with the grated cheese and then served. so far it was always delicious. last night I had cold tasteless spaghetti with scampi. I think the cook forgot to season the dish and we hardly had parmesan on the dish. we mentioned it when the owner cleared the table. we just have one ****. no excuse, no offer to reduce the price. that is very despicable, but for me more proves that quality is not reliable. prices are in the upper range. in fact, in recent years they have increased their prices and reduced their amount, but the quality did not change. when everything works, eating is really good and worth every penny. this is the only Italian former amaurant where I eat the tiramisu. Usually the tiramisu is much too much to know. they are really good. they also seem to have a problem remembering drinks orders."

Excellent tomato soup and Caprese Salad for a quick lunch. I would go back again if I were going to stay here.

Really excellent food. Top class pizza, pasta dish really very nice and the desert was beautiful. I saw other plates that looked awesome. I would have loved to go back if I was staying longer in the town.

Probably best restaurant in town when you like Italian food! Great service and warm welcome. Italian specialities like pasta, fish and meat. We go here each time when we stay in Geilenkrchen. During summer you can eat outside.

Casa Leonardo is located just in the centrum city of Geilenkirchen, pedestrial area. During summer you can also sit in the outside court, weather permitting. Food is genuine and overall quality very good. Choice for daily dishes or a la carte. Another option is for...pizzas, to complete the range of this worth and not expensive to visit restaurant.

It might not be the real deal but surely this place will satisfy your appetite; the place itself is nice and warm, the service isn't the fastest but the menu is nice even if a few recipes don't reflect the original italian cusine ....I would suggest this place for a fancy dinner or a working lunch since it is the only place nearby who can provide a decent service but be aware that prices aren't cheap !!!

Reserved a dinner in advance for my group of friends. Was not welcomed as we were visitors to the area and not locals. That's too bad too because the food wasn't bad. BUT the staff including the owner was a completely rude. I would not...recommend this place to anyone. Let it be known that they should place a sign locals only on their business card, advertising, and elsewhere. Cons: Owner and staff not friendly. Must whisper at the table. Not suitable for 2 or more and children Small dining area... Elbow to Elbow. Pro: Not bad Italian food.

"With such high ratings, I was excited to try Mykonos. While the location, the service and the price were perfect the overall dinner experience fell short of expectations. Mykonos is a nicely decorated and relatively new restaurant in a town that all agree need more good restaurants. They offered excellent service and a wide menu selection. The feta in phyllo was an exceptional standout from the appetizer section, with the benefit of including the best tasting salad/garnish of the meal. The zucchini balls were also good. On the main courses we ordered moussaka and gyros. The moussaka was well seasoned, filling, and visually appealing. Overall very good. The gyros however were a let-down. When I think gyros, I think warm moist Greek seasoned meat mixed with fresh tzatziki, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sometimes lettuce or even crumble feta on a fresh warm pita. The bread soaks in the meat flavor and holds it all together. Unfortunately Mykonos serves their gyros as a plate of meat with tzatziki and the odd German tomato rice and french fries. While this plate of meat with french fries is very German, we chose a Greek restaurant specifically to escape this plate of meat philosophy. None of the traditional makings of a gyro (i.e. google gyros) were to be found. This would have been ok if the meat had been great, but it wasn't. It was almost like over-salted, dried meat jerky. Too salty to eat on its own, and more tough/chewy than I'm used to. So, if you don't want to serve gyros the way a lower class or takeaway lunch place would make them (as you stated), that is totally your choice. However, as a consumer I would recommend at least making your plate of meat good enough to stand on its own merit. My bar was quite low as I haven't had a good gyro in almost two years, and you still missed it."
