"my wife and I went here to eat a quick bite and were initially optimistic. the reviews were mostly good and the staff was friendly. we ordered the baked rice, a hand roll and a drachen roll. the meat in the fried rice. was much over boiled so that it was dry, hard and tasteless. there was no sweetness in the rice (never the picture on the menu) and the spicy tasted as if it were just soy sauce. the handrolle was bland, and the drachenrolle tasted as if it was over a week ago. we were still hungry, but decided that we would rather be hungry than ordering anything else. judging by eating alone, I would rate this place a star, but the personal was friendly and the service was fast. the notizblock papers with customer drawings about the walls give him a funny feeling, so there are definitiw potential. but eating was sad only bad."

"Lovely meal, nice service and we were the only people in there until the end of our meal. The food was full of flavour, very filling and just the right sizing. Safe to say it allowed me to welcome a food coma. There was a gentleman there serving on his own and he was very punctual with ordering, drink serving and food serving. What was nice is he gave us space but welcomed conversation if we started it. Like we told the gentleman... we all definitely be going back again!! Parking: Park in the wilkos car park behind the restaurant. Its a 2 min slow walk and 40 second brisk walk. "okay, I understand the changing times in the hospitality, but please do not use it as an excuse for a service that is advertised. yes, a limited menu is available, but not in the position to deliver this menu is unacceptable. when the top 3 elements are re-created on the menu and they still take reservations that they are inconspicuous for their mozens. this is not a result of brexit or covid. that is the result of an ineptic personal. the walnut tree will never be my visit to the restaurant in the future when I visit worlington."

"The food was alright, not outstandingly good for a Japanese restaurant. I have tried a lot better one in Suffolk in a better setting and cheaper price point. It is a takeaway add-on type restaurant which I did not expect to be too expensive. But when we got the bill, everyone at the table was surprised by 30% more than what is shown on the menu. We then noticed a 'polite notice ' on the wall saying 20% VAT not included and 10% service charge not included. We are fine with 10% service charge but it is against the law that not showing the actual paid price of the food anywhere in a restaurant, nothing on the iPad menu or the menu at the entrance. We all felt utterly fooled after the dinner, especially on a Saturday day out. We have never seen anything like this before in the UK living 10+ years here. Ruined the day. I will start asking a restaurant about VAT now. Terrible experience."
