"Visited this week after a long day of travel and sightseeing. Started with the burrata salad to share and it was great; the tomatoes are in season and tasted like they came from my yard. I had the fettuccine with bacon, arugula and fried egg.....that...sounds wrong, but it's amazing. Obviously freshly made pasta, cooked perfectly. My sister had the pasta stuffed with gorganzola in a sage butter and she raved about that as well. Service was great! We don't speak Swiss German and our server spoke no English, so wctre compromised with Spanish. We were in shorts and carrying backpacks, and we were made very welcome. While dining in Zurich is universally expensive, we felt this wasn't so bad. We shared an app, had 2 main courses, 2 desserts, 2 after dinner drinks and a decent bottle of wine for 160 CFH."

We had dinner there. It was delicious. The prices are very moderate for Swiss standards. The waitors are friendly. The food was served very fast.

This restaurant has long been part of the Zurich DNA. It is not a vegan highlight, but very convenient when you are in Italian mood. Note that most seats in a backspace without window. View menu

great place to want a large group to share family style, but also just eat good! really enjoyed the lemon cream pasta and bruschetta. from the beaten away a bit outside the old town, our hotel recommended it and it was comfortable and tasty

Although the restaurant was crowded we were immediately seated by a cheeful waitress. This place was highly recommended by both Rick Steves and Trip Advisor and they were both right--my pasta was very good and the prices were reasonable. They do charge for tap water but not excessively. View menu

We wanted a casual Italian restaurant while trying to overcome our jetlag and we got exactly that. This place was delicious (everything came piping hot, fresh from the kitchen), lively and provided excellent and attentive service. The prices are moderate by Zurich standards but high...compared to North America. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a reprieve from expensive Swiss cuisine.

fleeing from the agitation of the August parade, a multicolored popular party of zurique (zurich west,) we casually find the commihalle, in stampfenbachstrasse. we were super-satisfied by the lawful and competent luís (Portuguese,) we were 4 adults and a 3-year-old child. We ask for an Italian merlot red, green lasagnas in the oven (mass made in the house, with spinach,) to keep from the gods, and an Argentinean angus steak, without repairs, soft and tasty. of dessert, an inexcessible tiramissu, with essential espresso. We would return for sure, and recommend, with praise.

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
