"We recently had a family celebration at Die Kuche marking our last night in Vienna, and the experience turned us from Austrian food skeptics into raving fans. The space is modern, lofty ceilings, cool living wall. They knew we would also have an infant with us, so thoughtfully took that into account when placing our group. We also had a gluten-free person, and they were awesome about really and truly making her feel she could trust what she was eating. The food was surprising and delicious from start to finish--people tried the steak tartare (prepared table-side), white asparagus with hollandaise and truffled ham (who knew?), delicious fish, rotisserie chicken, etc. The service was attentive but not over the top. The wine list was impressive, and the sommelier helpful in a practical, useful way. When we got the check, we felt the meal was one of the highest value dining experiences we have had. One potential warning: the pace of the meal was leisurely, which was great for us, but if you are on a schedule, be sure to let them know. Our meal at Die Kuche will be a special, Vienna-specific memory for us for a long time to come, and hands down beat out some of the better known "downtown" places."

We enjoyed the breakfast at Die Kueche. The setting is beautiful and the breakfast choices are enormous. We also had a dinner here and it was delicious.

We had dinner at this fine restaurant located at the Palais Hansen Kempinski hotel. The food is of the highest quality and the wine list is admirable though s bit e pensive. Overall, a good place for dinner

I was looking for a great brunch during our city trip in Wien. my friend recommended the kempinski weeping and she was absolutely right. the brunch was excellent. eating was ok, and as expected for a 5-star hotel. the service was however first class, super friendly, attentive: easy wow. we'll be back next month! Had a lovely dinner here and it was fantastic. Superb service from all staff with nothing too much for them to do. The menu was good with a number of choices but ended up going with the tartar and the steak. Both were great and...perfectly served. For the non meat eaters there was a very good seafood soup and fish option.

We enjoyed delicious breakfasts during our two day stay at the Kempinski. The offerings were better than most hotel breakfasts. Not only did it include the usual breakfast fare, but champagne was also available at one of the stations. The omelet I had prepared for...me was wonderful. There were also many breads, pastries, meats and cheeses, cereal, vegetables, etc. in multiple stations throughout the room. Coffee was brought to our table and our plates and utensils were removed quickly by the staff. The dining area itself was bright and cheerful. A good experience!

a very mixed bag here - we had a wonderful chestnut soup, good Creme Broule and risotto, and a horrible Schnitzel - all oily, smelling of not so nice oil and little else, and completely tasteless. Couple this to mediocre bread that you get and pay for whether you like it or not, and horribly expensive bottle of water (you pay the same for some perfumes), and you get a weird package. The service - the waiters were friendly and spoke ok English, but there were so few of them it was very hard to get any help, and it took lots of time for the food to arrive. So, despite the soup, we will probably not come back View menu

We grew tired of touristy restaurants in Vienna and sought out well-prepared food - and were willing to pay comparable or slightly higher prices. Die Kueche is in the Hotel Palais Kempinski - it's the medium priced restaurant. It has Viennese specialties as well as a large variety of other dishes. Their Wiener schnitzel was the best we had in Vienna and the boiled beef melted in our mouth. The fish was delicious, too. We had Caesar and mixed salads and sampled desserts, including apple strudel. We went there twice because the food was the best we had in our 6-day stay in Vienna and the service was genuine and helpful.

Over the Top variations of traditional Viennese cuisine. Kaesekrainer served on a plate resembling the typical paper plate you get at the 'Wuerstelstand' - simply devine. Served with 'Josefsbrot' (supposedly the best baker in town) and Speck (as amuse buche) that melts in you mouth. A modern interpretation of Beuschl, with wonderful vegetables and Knoedel. We were very impressed. Excellent wines but maybe a bit pricey even for 5* hotels. But then no meal is really perfect without a competent and friendly service. And this was the most distinguished part of our lunch. Not waiters but hosts who made our occasion truly special. We need to come back soon!
