"The restaurant is on the attractive town plaza, one of many but well prositioned. A pilgrim half way through a 40+ day walk to Santiago, I was hankering for a good Asturian steak. I’d recently eaten mainly vegetarian. I was not disappointed. I had a tomato and tuna salad and the grilled steak with grilled capsicums. My waiter was a bright young man, very good english speaker with a nice manner and just the right amount of attitude. He reckoned I wouldn’t manage to finish the steak, but I did. There were few people around (Corpus Chirsti the plaza had been jam packed early afternoon they’d all gone home to rest! . The tomato salad was very simple but absolutely delicious lashings of delicious olive oil and perfect balance of flavours between the acid tomatoes and the tuna. The steak was very good. Crusty and dark on the outside and juicy and red inside. And very tasty. The wine just right. I loved everything about this meal and experience. I was last pilgrim back to the albergue, but what could I do? In this part of the world the restaurant dinner doors don’t open till 9pm by which time the mouth is watering. Well worth the wait!"

We stopped in Pola de Siero to have lunch on our way to Villaviciosa. It was a very cozy restaurant and service was very good and friendly. The food was good as well as the sizes of the dishes. The only downsize is that we were seated on the top floor and the stairs were a challenge for my father in law.
