"Excellent latte, very tasty vegan sausage roll and carrot cake, so why only 3 stars? The answer is something which seems to be almost standard in UK cafes/restaurants namely an almost complete lack of table clearing and cleaning by staff. Customers, myself included, found it necessary to shuffle dirty cups, plates etc onto another empty table in order to find somewhere they could sit down which is very off-putting. I sat upstairs so can't comment on what the area downstairs was like but I suspect it was similar. This is a shame because as initially stated, the food and drink I had was good Cafe seemed to either be under staffed, hence the dirty tables,or the staff they do have need to address this issue otherwise they will not get repeat business."

small jewel in hanley, atmosphere is great, eating is always brilliant and personal are amazing, all the girls are beautiful, but jenny is a little diamant, can highly recommend the brownies.

lovey place friendly staff excellent coffee value for money 100% just reason why 4 stars is because I think tables need to be cleaned more regularly we came on a dirty table nobody came to clean it

beautiful spacious caffe for sitting and relaxing after a day of shopping. the coworkers were all freendly especially bekki, which served me one of the most beautiful coffees I ever had, even the mandelkuchen is to die for:

we were a week in hanley and worked at the theater and had so much luck having esquires before our doorstep! the personal was beautiful (jenny you are a legendary! and we would recommend to everyone for such a friendly service and delicious food!

I visited today for the first time with my parents for lunch. At first we thought we couldn't access the shop because of 2 steps but one of the staff immediately came to help us and provided a ramp for us to get in with the wheelchair and to find a table to sit at. The coffee and food were lovely and well presented. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Thank you for a lovely experience.
