"We were recommended to try out this restaurant chain. We were informed that they do not take reservations, so we had to take our chances and wait in line. We arrived at Deansgate early and there were already 10 people ahead of us in line, but we decided to queue up anyway. We all know that waiting in line is not enjoyable, especially when it starts raining. However, this place really stood out. A very friendly staff member stayed with us, brought out hot chocolate for everyone, and even brought out umbrellas when it started raining. This level of service was exceptional, and we hadn't even been seated yet. Once we were finally seated, we were very impressed with the food and service. It was truly outstanding, so be sure not to miss out on this place."

Really cute brunch place in Manchester, back in 2019. They offer gluten free bread!

Amazing breakfast, generous portions, you can tell everything from eggs Benedict to OJ and chai latte made with love and care!

Reasonable little cafe, checked with table about allergies but not fully knowledgeable- gluten free bread replaces sourdough in most egg dishes

Best breakfast in Manchester. Chai latte was also really good. Plenty of vegetarian options too. Very busy, I can understand why it's so popular. Very friendly staff. View menu

The gluten free cake is kept in between two non-gf or coeliac friendly cakes, therefore making the gluten free options not suitable for gluten/wheat intolerant or coeliac. Avoid.

Nice food Poor atmosphere Overly aggressive policing of tables on a quiet weekday morning literally removed plates while still eating Tables crammed on top of each other Not a relaxing place to eat I won’t be returning

I went to this restaurant on a Saturday morning and although there was a ten-minute wait, it was expected and not a problem. The food was delicious and fresh, and I was happy to find that they offered decaf tea. I highly recommend this place. View menu

Fast service, staff were nice, ordered the eggs Benedict food wasn’t anything special in my opinion and feel that the price didn’t accurate reflect what I was given. Also the meal was not filling at all so definitely recommend something else from the menu if you’re hungry going in. My friend ordered the poached eggs on avocado toast and very much enjoyed it however and said it was very filling!

My son and I visited this wonderful place on a recent trip to Manchester, we were served by Sarah whose kindness and hospitality is second to none, she was attentive to everyone in the cafe and Federal are lucky to have her on their team. We only called in for coffee, which is delicious by the way and Sarah treated us to a vegan brownie to share that was rich and creamy topped with pecans and the entire staff warmly wished us farewell and thanked us for visiting them when we were leaving

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
