"This rating is quite harsh but, although the food is delicious, we wouldn’t rush back. It’s a little dated and rather “nouvelle cuisine” for 2024. Everything is over-processed and there were too many puréed items all through the four course, set-price menu that it all seemed a bit like invalid food. The canapés were really disappointing: one piece of focaccia each, which tasted a bit stale, and some olives that weren’t the best we’ve had. The fish course was lovely, with an excellent hollandaise sauce. The main course, pigeon (there’s no choice any of the menu options) was delicious but consisted of half a pigeon breast, one leg and puréed carrot. It was so small I gasped at my plate in disbelief. Puddings were described as baked peach but, again, consisted of cream, topped with puréed peach and a puréed topping. We wouldn’t be in a rush to give this a “highly recommended.”"

"No wonder it’s #1 in Bédoin. The pebble stone terrace is charming, the service is excellent and the food is superb. At just €21 for an Entrée/Plat, plus €5.50 for a glass of lovely local Mazan Rouge €2,80 for a café, it is an incredible bargain for that kind of quality. Unexpectedly, it started with a little dish of pitted black oily olives and a small piece of bread, followed by an Amuse Bouche of a chilled Mushroom Velouté with a tiny quiche-like accompaniment. My entrée was Les Asperges Verte avec Jambon Cru, my plat was Magret de Canard in an unusual and delicious slightly spicy sauce with a round of melt-in-your mouth potatoes, some white asparagus wrapped in bacon and a small portion of Ratatouille. The baguette was freshly cut, the local wine my server recommended to go with my lunch choice was perfect and the espresso hot and accompanied by a tiny biscuit and some candied almonds. I’d go out of my way to dine here again."

"My husband and daughter had been walking up Mont Ventoux for the better part of the day and got back somewhat later than expected so we were rather later than we otherwise would have been in going to find a pizza to take away. The first place we tried told us they were not doing pizza to go as they had too many people eating at their tables on the pavement, so we walked on up the main street to see what else we could find. Arriving at Favolsa, their first reaction was that we were too late but and I don’t know whether they took pity on our downcast faces or what we were suddenly told we could place an order just before they turned off the ovens. Ten minutes later we were heading back to our gite with three piping hot, excellent pizzas, one Normande, one Margherida and one Calzone. They hit the spot beautifully and we did appreciate the service they gave us so that we didn’t end the day with empty tummies!"
