"Friendly busy atmospheric restaurant which for saying it was a rainy cold Sunday evening and they were full is saying something! Food was great, quite generic Italian and they also didn’t have my first choice which is the reason for the 4stars alongside the quite slow service which the waitress did repeatedly apologise for. As I said, it was busy and the kitchen was clearly slammed. The wait staff were running round at 100 miles an hour but cheerfully! Portion sizes are HUGE!!! I cannot emphasis this enough! I had the ‘small’ portion and couldn’t finish it, my husband had the large and it looked like he had barely touched it by the time he was stuffed. The waitress was lovely but after we’d ordered/ eaten said she never recommends the large portion…"

Terrible experience. We were brought the wrong meal , got it changed when new meal came it was wrong AGAIN.They offered to change it again but we didn't have time as we were going to a show.Amazingly they still charged us full price.I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. very nice restaurant, the personal was friendly and good aromen. the menu was on an ipad that made it hard to read and decide what we wanted. Paper menus are much better so they can compare options. portions of orzo and risotto were too big, most people couldn't finish their meals. arranchini was delicious

Excellent service, delicious food and helpful staff. The manager , Rebecca, looked after us so well--a gem!!! I ordered goats cheese as a starter, hake as a main and Italian meringue as a dessert. Really enjoyed all 3 courses. I will definitely recommend Fratelli to my friends and look forward to returning very soon.

Love this place the food is amazing and full of flavour with clean plates all round and the cocktails are fantastic. They have a great happy hour also but what makes the place so special are the staff they are so friendly and helpful and and in particular Ray who I think is a manager and Dave from behind the bar. Highly recommend and we'll be back soon! View menu

We went to this restaurant for a Christmas night out with friends and had an amazing experience! The service and food were both excellent. A special shoutout to Monika who always makes our night so much more enjoyable. She is friendly, attentive, and goes above and beyond for customers. We have had her serve us three times now and hope to have her again in the future!

We went to this restaurant for dinner tonight before heading to the Grand Opera House. There was no menu with prices displayed outside. We ordered 4 soft drinks and were asked if we wanted large, to which we said yes. However, we were not shown a drinks price list. We ended up paying £6.60 for a 3/4 filled pint glass, so a total of £26.40 for the 4 soft drinks. This was the first time we felt overcharged in Belfast. Additionally, my wife's burger was overpriced and cooked pink in the middle. It is disappointing that the Galgorm Group charges such high prices for soft drinks and does not provide a price list before ordering. We recommend avoiding this restaurant. We will not be returning.

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
