"Had Sunday lunch here this week in a party of 4 adults and 4 children (teenagers). The restaurant is tastefully decorated and we were welcomed by lovely friendly staff. There was a set menu, 2 courses for £20 which was very reasonable considering the size of the portions and the excellent quality of produce. I had the calamari to start which was fresh and beautifully presented with fabulous little sauces and salad dotted around the plate. Three of our party had this and we were blown away by the dish. One of my friends had the spring rolls and she said they were delicious. My son had chicken wings to start and I got to steal one from his plate to taste it…really rich sauce that was finger-lickin’ good. For the main course we went for the daily special…Dover sole with a veloute of prawn and mussel…very generous portion, the prawns were huge and cooked to perfection, served with samphire, long stem broccoli and a side of your choice (we had garlic sauteed potato. All mentioned were really tasty and cooked beautifully, but of course the star of the show was the sole…wow! Just amazing! We had a glass of the house sav blanc to wash it all down (very nice also). My husband had 2 pints of Guinness which were really good…very creamy. We’re not big on desert so we left it at that, but cannot recommend this place enough…incredible food, lovely staff and overall a great experience! Thanks to all who run it and well done…such a pity I live so far away or I’d be in there all the time."

Good staff, good food and a nice couple of cocktails instead of desserts. Bit more expensive than the other restaurants about the town.

Great food though a little pricey. Pleasant staff, good service. Came with the food quite quickly. Liked the background music. Worth a visit.

The dining experience was fantastic, with excellent service and a wonderful staff. I can’t wait to return! This is by far the best restaurant in the Newry and Mourne area.

Food and service were absolutely phenomenal—five stars! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. There were ten of us dining, and each person enjoyed the most delicious meal we've ever had. We will definitely be back soon and can highly recommend Raymie’s to everyone!

Booked an early dinner with my family. The food was absolutely unbelievable!! One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time! Seafood was divine. I had the sea bass and what an assortment of seafood! Only thing , the music was a too loud at 5.45 when we were placed under the speaker i and my 93 yr old mum found it hard to hear each other! Service staff excellent!

Loved Raymies, felt very welcomed, there were plenty of staff with such quick service! More on the pricier side but the food was possibly the best in Warrenpoint. Definitely recommend the salmon or the hake. Their cocktails were insane and so fun. Their dessert was shown live on a platter which was amazing!! Loved the choc/coffee mousse. Only giving it one less star as the staff weren't wearing masks when cases were/are quite high, this was before Freedom Day. Just a note if people are covid conscious.

"I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin starred Bistro, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. We went with family on Wake the Giant Weekend . Particularly the best time to visit Warrenpoint and County Down in general. We came to this Hotel recommended by friends. We are from Scotland . It was a two day trip , we stayed at Killeavy Castle . However decided to eat here on Saturday night . But , Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. Where do I start? Having entered the restaurant, we had to wait for several minutes to be greeted, and had to wait 25 mins to be seated for a table we booked a day in advance . It was nearly half an hour over our reservation time , when finally a Blonde Woman managing the diary at the door said that our table is now ready. She greeted us with a fake smile as if she was already pissed off on us coming to the Restaurant. She took us to our table, which was a very small square thing, with not much space for anything, and only about 20 cm away from another table, so actually we might as well join the tables together if we go next time i don 't think so ! . The menu cards ABSOLUTELY disgusting, covered in oil and all sorts of food gravy or residue. We ordered our drinks, and soon enough the 'over enthusiastic ' waitress came back to us saying there will be a 20 min wait on a cocktail would you mind ordering something else instead. The garlic mushrooms I had as my starter, was nothing more than over cooked and almost burnt Tesco 's value garlic mushrooms which cost me nearly a £7.00 ... We ordered our mains and ta dah! six minutes later ?! they arrived. Surprisingly such quick instant service, as if they were sitting at the pass for us to finish our starters . We had fillet steaks which was drenched in OIL, seriosuly, that was almost Steaks in OIL sauce, it was some sort of tepid liquid with an ich layer of oil. When my husband asked for some French Dijon Mustard a surprised waiter pointed out that he was getting drinks for another table so please ask someone else. There was no salt on the table at all and you had to try your hardest to attract someone 's attention to get a bit of salt, which took a while, mu husband had to ask the couple sitting next to us. Honestly, the best bit of food we had there, was the pepper sauce!!!! Honestly, I never complain in a restaurant, because I used to work as a waitress myself, so I know what it’s like sometimes. But Jesus, if you charge people an extortionate amount of money, you must give something back and appreciate the paying customers. The whole thing was a bit like a fast food restaurant focused on quantity of people they serve rather than quality Im afraid. They were more focused on the number of customer they can serve than quality of food . The entire time I was sat inches from the young couple and could hear their entire conversation. I strongly suggest to have less tables there, and give people a bit of privacy when eating and talking and trying to enjoy a meal out. Please focus on quality of food you guys are serving than building up the huge numbers . I will never go there again !!! Don 't be fooled by the photos and publicity. This place is nothing but a hyped up restaurant and the service was very poor. Should have got a takeaway pizza instead ."
