"I have eaten at that restaurant or got their veggie ramen delivered countless times, more than I can recall, likely 30 times a year since their opening. I also used to pick their sushis to go on a regular basis. I love noodles in general and that is by far my favorite ramen place in Lausanne. I consider Sushizen as my usual “canteen” place in Lausanne, a place I can conveniently get some comfort food from: quickly seated (never waited more than 15 minutes , quickly served, quickly eaten. Their veggie ramen is good and their ramen noodles are cooked to perfection. Broth and sides are not that exceptional, but do the job, definitely. The veggies are always fresh and that is why I always choose that ramen over other options. I actually prefer this place compared to Umamido, which I think is overrated and requires much more patience (waiting times! . Here at Sushizen, everything is kept simple and at quite fair prices (based on Swiss standards, of course ."

Always a good place to come and eat for lunch or dinner! We had a pork tonkotsu ramen (with spicy oil) and a vegetarian curry, great and the team is always nice.

Modern gestyltes Restaurant, sehr nahe am Bahnhof von Lausanne gelegen. Bittet asiatisch-europäische Küche an. Die Portionen sind nicht gerade riesig, doch sehr lecker zubereitet.

Very good service and excellent dishes, very friendly waitresses. On the other hand, charging 8. for a bottle of so called Henniez when it is a bottle of tap water (without label) and 5.50 for a 50cl bottle (also without label) is NOT CORRECT , even more so when you consume dishes for 4 people, coffee and dessert...

Great ambiance vibe! If you want to feel like you are traveling a bit while still getting to sleep at home, this is the place for you! My personal favourite is the Japanese Curry, which is the real deal! The place is cozy, vibrant but still peaceful enough for you to have a great conversation with friends. The ambiance is really nice and the staff very friendly and welcoming. You can always ask for help and get great recommendations for what to choose.

Nice small restaurant, enjoyed a reasonably priced meal. Tuna sashimi was fresh, edame beans are one of my favourites and didn't disappoint. Raman comes with good choices of the broth and meat fish veg, and was filling and tasty. having Ashahi beer on draft is a definite bonus! Inside has a lower part (ambience somewhat plain and bit spoilt by having the chilled display cabinet for take away food), small room on upper level (looked nice through window, empty on evening I visited), and outside dining area on pavement. Service was friendly. Good value for evening meal would recommend

"Au Charbon is family managed restaurant, set in a pleasant and quiet part of Lausanne, easily reached on the bus, if like me, you are touring. The restaurant is ‘cosy’ and the owners have maximised the number of seats available, which sounds like me...spinning a cramped venue but it actually works out okay. We had sufficient room to relax and eat without imposing on our neighbouring tables, so the efficient spacing added to the atmosphere and the wine waiter added character. The restaurant has a traditional pizzeria menu with no surprises with the choice of pizza, steaks etc. All our choices were well presented, cooked exactly to request and delicious. Portion sizes were just right too On the down side, the table service was very slow, it took around an hour for the first course and one dish was wrong when it eventually arrived but we put that down to being busy. The lady serving was also a bit too presumptuous that the change from the bill would be her tip and she didn’t return the change, eventually coming back to confirm if this was so. In summary, I enjoyed my meal and time at Au Charbon, they seem to have earned their reputation from being consistent in serving nicely presented dishes that are cooked well. The higher end options are a bit on the pricey side if you are on holiday, especially when considering this is a pizzeria (a steak costing CHF). However most restaurants of this type in Lausanne are similarly priced and it is what it is."
