A great cooked breakfast including black pudding. One of the best we have had anywhere. Very attentative service always with a smile. Whatever you want just ask!!

The Glasshouse consistently delivers exceptional food and outstanding wine. The menu is creatively crafted, making it difficult to choose just one dish. The asparagus and samphire soup was delectable, and the grilled mackerel was equally delightful. The wine selection was also top-notch. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Our experience at the Salutation Inn for afternoon tea was truly delightful. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the service was outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the sandwiches and scones, but found the selection of pastries to be a bit lacking in variety and flavor. Despite this, it was a very relaxing afternoon and we felt it was good value for money.

This was my first visit to The Salutation. I took a friend there for a special birthday. We don’t live in Topsham so it was a specially researched plan for a treat. She enjoyed her lunch immensely and so did I. Phew! The limited but sophisticated menu made for easy choices. We both loved our meal. The service was welcoming and attentive in a pleasant room. Being glass, it was very light and bright. The food on the plates were beautifully arranged and it tasted as good as it looked. My family and I recently had a visitor and decided to try out three different restaurants. This particular restaurant ended up ranking third on our list. We found the atmosphere lacking and the staff seemed untrained. Instead of being directed to the bar for a pre-dinner drink, we were immediately seated at our table. No one offered to take our coats, so we ended up draping them over the backs of our chairs ourselves. This was a stark contrast to our previous visit several years ago. While the food was good overall, we struggled to find dishes that truly appealed to us, although I must say that my artichoke soup was quite delicious.

I had my 60th birthday party here and it was amazing and still very memorable and talked about. The staff then were helpful, friendly. The food and catering was second to none and the amazing cake they made for my birsthday was amazing and delicious. Nothing is ever too much trouble. This time I had my Wedding reception here and once again Amelia and Tom surpassed expectations and the staff once again, very organised, friendly. The food was delicous at £42 per head. The room looked lovely and they accomodated us from 5pm until late. Its was great and once again we will be talking about this for years to come. I cannot recommend this place enough.

AMAZING!!!!! Literally from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. It was fabulous. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The glass house is beautifully decorated. Good social distancing. Comfortable tables and chairs with cute cushions. The menu looked great and the food was out of this world. One of the best meals I have ever had and we all said the same. The pistachio crème brûlée was simply delicious. Let’s hope they don’t remove it from the menu before our next visit. Its certainly well worth spending a little extra for a first class experience.
