"As an unapologetic fan of burgers the dirty cheese burger ticked off the list for deliciousness. The beef was tender, the cheese was generous and the bun was fresh. The Korean wings were sticky and sweet (not particularly my fave because I’m more of a heat person but my friends who isn’t, enjoyed it so yeah). The fries were really good The service was good and the waiter was quite attentive and polite Despite being the only one, she manned our table alongside others with a warm smile Not really a fan of the interior decor and construct, kinda looks like a warehouse to me. It was a bit echoey and just amplified other peoples’ voices and laughters (which was a wee bit annoying for me) but if you’re able to overlook that, then you’ll really find everything else quite pleasing! Maybe I’ll just do a take out next time"

I had the Plant Burger and fries. The burger was delicious, perhaps the best vegan burger I've ever tasted. The fries were not as good. The staff was helpful. The restroom was clean.

The loaded fries, chicken wings and burger were all delicious. The milkshake was also immense. Excellent hipster fast food spot. Staff were great (shout out to Jake Billy who were friendly and attentive waiters)

Romeo was the only waiter working the night 3 of my mates and I went to GLUT, and although the food was amazing as expected and I mean AMAZING, it was this guy who ensured the meal was success. Such a great host. He was very approachable, engaging and took the whole experience to that next level. Cheers bro we will definitely be back...

The restaurant offers a small vegan menu with limited options, but the food is truly delicious. We opted for the plant burger with vegan cheese and burger sauce, and it did not disappoint. The falafel burger is also a great choice for those looking for a non-fake meat option. The only downside is that there are no vegan dessert options available.

The burger at this restaurant is great, but the fries are a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, when I went to the restroom, I saw bags of frozen McCain French fries stacked on the side. It would be nice to see them switch to higher quality chunky chips or sweet potato fries like GBK and Byron Burger, which are also located on the same road. However, the burger itself is one of the best vegan burgers in Oxford and definitely worth a try! View menu

I am personally absolutely here for the pommes. skinny, salty, hot delicious. they were also a fairly generous portion. really enjoyed the dirty plant burgers also, and although they were made of buffalo sauce for the flower wings, they offered together a beautiful spicy sweet sauce that was still vegan, and it was great. many single-use sachets as the Condiment options (available with vegan mayo), which I appreciate the need for with takeaways etc. but it felt like a somewhat unnecessary amount of waste, especially as it looked like the one we did not use, were simply thrown away. a vegan option for dessert would be a big next step, and maybe also a low alcohol/AF beer option.

Insane. First visited Oxford in January with a mate and we had been told to go to Glut by someone who recommended. We went 3 times in 3 days. First impressions were high as the artwork is something that makes this place worth visiting from the outset. The decor was so impressive that we knew the food was gonna be amazing. And we were right, the burgers were incredible, fries were BIG, Korean wings were unreal and I've been dreaming of the creamed corn since. Went back last weekend to see if it could live up to the first time and it definitely did that and more. Would highly recommend if your passing anywhere nearby or willing to travel for, hands down, the best nashville chicken burger you w...

"I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
