Also Kim would...always do me a half and half (vegetables Quorn); even a half portion with rice. Nothing was too much trouble. When the new owners took over they refused to do my half and half; telling my husband only what is on the list We stopped going there until recently when we thought we would have our usuals for old time's sake. Sadly it seems the curry is definitely not the same that Kim used. It was lacking in punch and flavour, and even the quorn was different. We tried once more but again, the flavour and punch just wasn't there so we won't be using them again (Unless Kim and his wife come back : ."

To be honest the fact that you can order and pick up within minutes does sometimes make me wonder but the food is always nice and we have never needed to complain, they must just be very quick.

Have ordered from Goldlion many, many times, never had an issue, food always piping hot. Delivery driver polite. Had food tonight for of us, just lovely. Previous reviews a little confusing but hey everyone is different

Stay well clear of this place! I ordered sweet and sour chicken balls, I’m not one to get ill and I’ve never had food poisoning before, I’ve had the worst food poisoning from this place! I’m on day of food poisoning and hoping it’ll...go soon!!

We've been buying food from Kim and Lisa at the Golden Lion for years. They are delightful people and always greet you warmly. The food is excellent and very reliable. I can really recommend this place and honestly say that I've never had a bad...experience.

Had the duck in orange sauce, which was good, the duck was a bit tough, thou. My friends meal was great. The Wan tan were great and plenty as well as the spring rolls. All in all it was good and plenty. We'll be ordering...more. Just a shame they're not online.

Was hesitant to go back after Kim and Lisa left, but I thought i’d try it and it’s still my favourite Chinese. Very good food and good service, hygiene rating helps too. I think Lisa comes back on weekends to work too so she...is still there. My favourite Chinese in Sale.

I ordered a meal with no onion due to allergy, when I got home it had onion in it. I went back after calling them to get it exchanged having to drive back again. They replaced my order with an apology and that was it....I got home to find my order wrong again this time being chicken instead of tofu. The annoying thing is I have been going there for years but it's not been the same since Lisa and Kim stopped running it
