Wie immer die erste Adresse für exzellente Cocktails- Mojito!!!Und für ein richtig gutes frisch zubereitetes Steak!!!!!

Wir waren mit 4 Personen zum Spare Ribs "All you can eat" im Guantanamera. Leider waren die Personen immer sehr klein und ab dem dritten Teller hat es beim nachbestellen so lang gedauert, dass wir absolut die List verloren haben und das war wohl auch vom Personal so gewollt. Für mich war es das erste und letzte Mal in dem Laden!

War heute zum erstem Mal hier.Sehr freundliches Personal, immer um die Zufriedenheit des Gastes bemüht. Sehr interessante Gerichte auf der Karte. Ich könnte mich kaum entscheiden was ich essen soll.Habe dann, da Freitags T-Bone auf der Karte steht mich dafür entschieden.Perfekt gegrillt .... lecker .Als kleine Verbesserung würde ich die Speisekarte optisch hochwertiger designen. Sie wirkt mit den Bildern der Gerichte etwas wie in einem billigen Touri-Lokal. Und wird dadurch der TOP-Qualität der Küche nicht gerecht.Alles in allem war es super !!!! Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder....

Guantanamera is a Peruvian restaurant in Darmstadt - that is unusual enough and it has been there forever. Therefore, it does not have the more sophisticated ambience of newer restaurants or the innovations a Gaston Acurio has added to the Peruvian cuisine. The food is like the one you get at home: simple and with good portions. This time, I just wanted to have a couple of bits at home and order Anticuchos and Causa for take away. The causa (spicy mashed potatoes with a filling of chicken and mayonnaise) was a good as my mother's and the anticucho (skewer of heart meat) with the typical criollo sauce was as good as the ones you get in Lima. I come to Guantanamera every now and then if I crave Peruvian food and am too lazy to cook by myself. Most of the times, it was just as good as the traditional food I used to eat when I grew up in LimaSomehow, this time, every dish was perfect: the causa (spicy mashed potatoes layered with tuna and mayonnaise), really spicy, the anticuchos, tender, the salsa criolla (usually super hot) not too spicy, the two portions of ocopa sauce (cheese, peanut, aji, milk and herbs), and finally the lomo saltado (meat, onions, tomatos fried and seasoned with some soy sauce, accompanied/mixed with fries and served with rice) was one of the best I have ever had. Ich komme aus Peru und war schon in mehreren peruanischen Restaurants in Deutschland essen (in Berlin, Frankfurt, etc.). Bisher war das Essen ganz ok, aber das Restaurant Guantanamera hat mich wirklich von den Socken gehauen. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker (es gibt auch eine sehr große Auswahl), vor allem die causas de atún und pollo waren richtig riiichtig gut...PPKausas :). Freunde haben Anticuchos, Yuquitas Fritas con Huancaina, Lomo Saltado bestellt und Seco de Cordero und haben auch gemeint, dass alles sehr gut schmeckt. Die Kellner sind extrem nett und die Chefköchin hat uns persönlich gefragt, ob alles ok war und sich dann nachdem die Küche zu war verabschiedet. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr...

Once again, this place shows that the location and food do not need to be fancy to have a great food experience and evening. Pisco sour (cocktail): strong and not too sweet = perfect. Chilcano (cocktail): refreshing but strong = perfect. Ceviche: not too many onions, just perfect level of spiciness, sweet potatoes and cancha = great. Papa a la huancaina (potatoes with a thick spicy creme) was excellent, and so were the anticuchos (heart skewers).
