"We enjoyed a delicious brunch on a chilly January Sunday. The portions of meat and potatoes were generous, and they paired nicely with a hint of sweetness. The desserts were freshly made and delightful. The service was friendly and attentive. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the atmosphere felt a bit stagnant; we hadn’t visited in about 5 years and noticed that not much had changed. The place could use a bit of renovation and a thorough cleaning. It's worth mentioning that the pub is quite popular among walkers, leading to a bustling environment."

Lovely meal. Service very good. Table 16 nice . Only downside was that the table water was colder than the bottle of wine. Overall though really enjoyed it and would definitely go again.

The food was amazing! Very comfortable setting. A relaxed pub atmosphere downstairs with a really nice dining area upstairs. Would definitely recommend for a meal or just meeting friends and family.

Nice little pub, only a couple vegetatian/vegan options, but they do offer a 'dog 's dinner '. Staff were lovely, food was good. Dogs are allowed inside, book ahead if you don 't want to be disappointed. View menu

I had a really pleasant dining experience. They offer a wide variety of beers, and the service was excellent—very accommodating and thoughtful. They even went out of their way to prepare a special meal for my vegan friend, even though it wasn't something they typically offer.

I can only comment on the dining experience as that is what we went for. A fantastically atmospheric tavern, nestled in the valley. Great food and service and highly recommended Walkability: Loads of interesting and scenic routes for hikes and walking Service: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view

Fantastic pub in the heart of the village! Incredible food, and as it's dog friendly they even do a dogs dinner for your pooch. Food and bar prices are fair. Often have live music and there's a weekly quiz even summer festivals. On Sundays they do a Carpark Carvery where you can get a hot roll, roasties and a little pot of gravy to dip them into. Perfect to stop off at after climbing The Garth. Highly recommend!

This pub is a beautiful place to stay. We stopped for the night on our way home to break up a long drive, and I truly wish we could have stayed longer. The food was fantastic, both for dinner and breakfast, and the location is stunning. We took a lovely walk up the nearby mountain with our dog and enjoyed every moment. The rooms are comfortably furnished, the beds are excellent, and the bathrooms are delightful. I highly recommend this place.
