Hansel Pa De Barcelona

We were looking for vegan food but unfortunately couldn't find any. It's more like a pastry bar rather than a restaurant.

We only had breakfast here once. We were looking for something healthier that the usual pastries. We opted for fruit and yogurt with a sprinkling of cereal but we were shocked to be charged over €17 for 2 bowls of this and 2 coffees.

We happened in for breakfast our second morning in Barcelona and we're amazed by how fresh everything from the pastries to the eggs to the orange juice was. Enjoyed breakfast each morning of our stay. The staff is friendly and quick.

Great value food, served with a smile! The coffee was perfect for the morning and sausage sandwich was perfect- they even offered to make it hot (against what is traditional- though I recommend it cold)! We visited several times while I'm Barcelona and enjoyed it thoroughly every time.

We came for breakfast and were delighted by the freshness and good quality and awesome taste of everything we ate. Scrambled eggs with vegetables, pancakes with fruits and fresh pressed fruit juices. The bread is very good and the sandwich “especial” is simply fantastic!! Sadly we are leaving Barcelona today; otherwise we would have come back tomorrow.

We had breakfast here on our first day, lovely service, nice chat from staff, great orange juice coffee and the food was fresh lovely. After a bad experience on our second day elsewhere we chose to return here again. Fresh bread toasted, fresh bread as sandwiches, pastries, eggs dishes, donuts, crepes, various fresh fruit juices coffee available. Highly recommended.

French pastries are in perfection. the pastries with filo teig are crispy and very tasty. we tried the 4 cheese quiche, was so good that melts in her mouth. the caffe con leche is well done. if they like sweet orange juice, this is the place...Exquisito! the owner was very patient to explain the different bakery and food options and the server was very attentive. the ambiente is very welcoming, with a clear wood decor, clean and beautiful.

Opened at 8am when we were there in April, very nice staff, fresh orange juice. I had acai for the first time with cereal and fresh fruit and it was amazing. Fresh fresh fresh. Some mornings we were heading off on adventures before they were open, and I was always sad if I could not eat at HäNSEL to start my day off right. Prices were very good (the food was excellent), maybe 15 euro for two people. Some people appeared to be ordering small picnic lunches to go, so some food appears to travel well.

hänsel is this sweet little caffe on the streets of barcelona, serving some great essential sandwiches, pasta, juices and coffee. my friends and I stopped by hänsel on the last morning of our stay in barcelona and it was a great experience in the whole environment. I got the bikini sandwich (a ham and melted cheese sandwich) and asked if I could add some spinat. while they usually do not include spinat in the sandwich, they said they can add it for me without an extra charge! also ordered an americano that came in a cute espresso cup and was great. service wise, our waiter was fantastic. he could say that we were tourist (obvily, from our huge travel backpacks) and recommended several menu p...
