"We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We went with friends and two young children, but there were no high chairs available despite our booking for two. It seems like they only have two high chairs for the entire restaurant, which is surprising considering how affordable they are at Ikea. As a result, we had to try to enjoy our meal while holding a 16-month-old on our laps. The food itself was very average, with Yorkshire puddings that were overly large. The staff were not rude, but they could have been more friendly and service-oriented. The restaurant does offer reasonable gluten-free options and a good selection of beers, but overall, we will not be returning."

This restaurant is a classic English country pub with great food. The average price per person is between £20-£30. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying their Fish and Chips dish.

This pub is consistently excellent with a lovely beer garden that is completely dog-friendly. The food is also very good! The only minor issues we had were that the cider on tap was switched from Stowford Press to Westons (which we liked) and the chips served with our meal were a bit different...possibly due to a change in cooking oil? Overall, we would definitely eat here again, especially after walking our dog. View menu

I went to this restaurant for a gathering of family and friends after a funeral. They were very welcoming of my small dog, which was the main reason I chose to go there. The chips were good, but there wasn't much else for me to eat as the buffet mainly consisted of sandwiches, which I couldn't have because I am Coeliac. The price per person was between £1-10. The food was rated a 3, service was a 5, and the atmosphere was a 5.

Didn't try the food this time but it looked and smelt good the atmosphere in the pub is typically English coal fires in every room. We found the pub by chance after visiting Gawsworth and seeing it wasn't opening until 5pm decided to wait 15mins at 10 to 5 the barman I think is called Steve opened the door and beckoned us in very courteous and friendly telling us about the pubs history. Highly recommend a visit here Service: 5
