"We didn't enjoy our latest trip to Harts. The actual restaurant is looking tired and dated. The back seat in our booth was broken, toilets resemble a motorway service station, cold, slightly grubby and in desperate need of renovation. The food was not very pleasant, all looks very fancy, but not particularly tasty! Our main fish dish was not cooked enough for our liking but asking for it to be cooked a little longer became a bit if an embarrassing drama. A total of 4 staff members came over and commented on it, with us being told that chef said it was cooked as it should be. I didn't question that, merely that i wanted it to be well cooked. All very embarrassing and I felt rather uncomfortable for the rest of the evening."

It's ok but wouldn't go out of my way for it. As far as value, I'd question it. Too expensive for what is offered. Service is impeccable! Desserts are excellent.

Had a very nice meal at Harts. Perfect surroundings. The waiter was very attentive. Seamlessly kept our glasses topped up. Service was excellent and food was tasty.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch just after Christmas. The standard of cooking was excellent and the service was efficient but not overbearing. I would definitely recommend Harts and will return again soon.

Reliable, high standards of food and service at Harts Restaurant Nottingham. Great menu choices covering all tastes. Fabulous wine selection. Relaxing and friendly ambience. A real pleasure to dine there.

This is the fourth time that we have been to Harts for a meal and each time that we have been the food has been excellent, the ambience great making the whole dining experience a joy. Harts is a restaurant that I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone either as a place to take someone special or to impress business associates.

hard’s kitchen on good shape early in the new year. plump, tasty, garlicky garnel and a delicious, creamy artichoke soup made good starter. then we had both flat iron steak, cooked medium rare, as desired and full taste. desserts were an excellent chocolate fond with an egg and inconspicuous madeleines with lemon curd. many sorts in a cheap wine list. professional and friendly service from the sole waiter in the small opposite, which today serves as hard’s restaurant. very soothing that this well established dining place in nottingham which was still supplying.

Harts was very disappointing. Having dined at Hambleton Hall I was expecting much more from Harts. The chef on the night had no understanding of flavour and how to get the best out of food. I had pork terrine to start. It was overpowering with garlic the other ingredients were swamped and the subtle combination of flavours lost. A red wine jus was so salty it again masked the flavours of the dish in this case a guinea fowl and a mushroom starter dish was disappointing because the mushrooms had not been cooked properly. The service was OK but the waitress understood nothing about the wine menu and nobody was on hand to advise. Other staff were over familiar service behaviour which was inappro...
