Very nice place. Warm atmosphere and very friendly service, even without a reservation. The food was excellent and very tasty. Will visit again for sure.

Went there for the second time and enjoyed the changing menus (daily specials). The menu is a good mixture between local and international mixtures. Service is friendly and price/quality excellent.

A bit off the typical tourist routes, this place is a good recommendation for modern German cuisine. Despite the silly name, good food greets the guests in a nice atmosphere. Good wine recommendations. View menu

I got there very late, and kitchen was almost closed, but they did not leave hungry in the cold : Super tasty food and super nice service. Besides, place is cosy with candle lights and cool music. Loved it!!

Haus Mueller is a worthwhile stop to enjoy traditional German cuisine at reasonable prices. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very welcoming and it has a real cosy ambience. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to any visitor to Cologne.

The place is very beautiful. Good spacious. If you get an outside table the views of the local vinos are nice. This is a restaurant that shows more on the outside than the kitchen on the inside can deliver. You can see the boss is really trying. For real. But it will still be German food. This is small restaurant sitting on a small square; it feels more like a Paris Bistro. They had just switched to game oriented winter menu. Strengths: Comfortable outdoor seating with heaters and blankets; candles; charming interior. We had 3 starters, 3 entrees and 2 desserts;...they were all really good. This is hard for a kitchen to do. Excellent pumpkin soup; stuffed pheasant outstanding; mushroom and puff pastry excellent; plum cobbler really nice. Opportunity: Not quite enough staff to handle the Friday night crowd.

After two days of getting well acquainted with normal german fare, we were craving vegetables and Haus Mueller came to our rescue without loosing its german roots! A fantastic pickled runner bean and oyster mushroom salad started us off hints of truffle, with a very...drinkable german white. We went on to avoid food envy by both ordering a local white fish served with asian greens and a good german sized portion of wasabi potato puree. Unfortunately no room left for the creme brulee, but a very satisfying and fresh experience, all beneath the stars in a very charming, quiet Cologne square.

My twin brother Stephen and I discovered this tavern as we were exploring around this area of Cologne and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here,a traditional authentic German tavern,great decor and furnishings including a cool looking...serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern both inside and outside looking out over to the pretty Trude Herr Park. We were here on a Tuesday evening, we decided to sit outside were a very pleasant member of staff served us a delicious Kölsch beer each,served in excellent condition we just kicked back,chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in.
